I'm getting more and more excited with the Swedes. Obviously saw a lot of Ullstrom last year and there is a lot to like, but I'm glad that Sundstrom and Persson are putting up points too.
Right on queue Persson Scores. 3-0 BPort. Landry and Cizikas assist.

Bridgeport D starting to fall apart/crash back down to earth. 3-2 Sound Tigers clinging to the lead. 7 min to go in 2nd period. Couturier has our number.

Still falling... 3-3 after 2. McIver is in the box, Bport shorthanded to start the 3rd.

I am not sure if the stats page is correct on the AHL site but they said Adirondack had 3 goals on 3 shots while Bridgeport had 2 goals on 4 shots in the second period.

I haven't been counting shots, but I don't think there is anyway that is possible. Both starting goalies have been pulled at this point, but I can assure you Some saves have been made

they updated the stats, i guess they take awhile to update shot count(it was like 10-12 shots in the second period, currently it's 0-0 shots in the third period with 5 minutes left)

There is a minute left tied 3-3. Poulin has made 13 saves in the third so far.

Going to OT. BTW, he hasn't scored (he does have an assist) but this is one of the best games I have ever seen Nino play, and I'm going all the way back to WJC in his draft year. This is his type of game, its physical bvut its also up and down the ice with a lot of speed. He looks REALLY good tonight.

And Ullstrom is a guy that isnt on the score sheet at all, but is making a lot of things happen. That line (with Sundstrom, has been excellent)

Poulin made 17 save in the 3rd Period and OT, many of them quality saves. Poulin is hot right now, seems to be in a groove the last week or two.

Heading to a shootout...

Good Win, and Im glad Nino and Ullstrom got to shoot in the shootout, they played awesome, and doesn't surprise me that they both scored. Poulin was unreal.

Poulin is a weird prospect. He takes a while to warm up, whether its in a season, or in a game. While up with the Isles 2 years ago, it seemed like he didn't really get sharp until after giving up the first two goal, and usually pretty quickly, like within the first 5 shots. Then he'd settle down and make like 25-30 saves in a row. Same thing with seasons, he sucks in the beginning, then becomes focused and sharp, and becomes one of the best goalies in the league.

The Swedes are coming, the Swedes are coming!!

I am very please with this trio, all of whom can find themselves as denizens of that Garden of Eden Brooklyn, my original hometown.

Bridgeport has been scoring goals within the first two minutes seemingly every night. Nice pass from Sundstrom to set up the goal. Nino got an assist too, but didnt touch the puck. Sundstrom intercepted a clearing attempot and fed Donovan at the Point. A Play earlier, Ullstrom sprung Nino on a brilliant outlet pass and McEhlaney (Springfield goalie) made a nice save on the breakaway.

Donovan scores again on the PP although it may have been tipped by Nino.

They gave Nino credit for the goal. Tough to tell. Nino living well, May have a goal and an assist on the stat column without ever touching the puck.

Game tied at 2.

SCRATCH That 3-2 Falcons..... Falcons abusing McIver and Ness.

Ouch 4-2 Springfield after the 1st period. Last goal was a PP goal... McIver in the box after getting completely turned inside out. McIver and Ness are having very tough nights. I think Ness is a -3. McIver -2 and in the sin bin during a PP goal.

Matty D seems to be turning on the offense lately. Hopefully he can ride this hot streak into the NHL season...

Actually Donovan and Wishart have been playing really well together. Defensively they have been taking care of business and leading the offense with good clears/outlets. I wrote Wishart off a while back, but he has been playing his best hockey lately.

What's the deal with Hamonic? How serious of a concussion was it?

Haven't heard anything, Im sure they are being cautious, he was only down there to stay in shape and get work anyway. Probably wont play until the labor thing gets straightened out or blows up., Thats just me guessing, but wouldnt be surprised if he was playig late Jan for the Isles and dint return until then.

As I type, Persson scores. Persson from Hill and Cizikas 4-3 Springfield. Bad angle shot.

It would make sense to be super cautious since he really shouldn't be in the AHL, I hope that's the case. I just don't remember hearing anything about him since he suffered that concussion and you can never be sure with those things.

Bport is buzzing to end the 2nd period. Still 4-3 Springfield after 2 periods though.

Ullstrom missed wide open net on PP from about 18 feet out, nice passing play from Sundstrom and Nino. Donovan also fed Blair Riley but the puck rolled off his stick. They look much better, (Much less ice time for the Ness/McIver pairing that period)
