I don't know if this has been posted but Sportsnet is currently running a show on the Saskatoon Blades (Darren Dietz, Dalton Thrower) run to the Memorial Cup like the NHL does when they have a winter classic. Even Patrice Brisebois was on - interesting show.

The Sportsnet website is so terrible. The videos are so choppy and keep stopping every few seconds.

Agreed but it also on TV. 110 (Sportsnet 1) on Shaw Satellite but will be different on other systems.

I saw the first one and the second half of the 2nd one on TV recently. Loved it. They were in total turmoil during that first episode.

Thrower and Dietz are not interviewed in the parts I saw. Nor did I see Brisebois. Guess it must be in the first half of the 2nd one or a 3rd one.

Speaking of the Blades, big win tonight for them. 7-2 final. Thrower with an assist and +3. Picks up 16 PIMs.

Dietz pointless and somehow goes even. He just can not catch a break with his +/-.

Crazy end to the Blades game.

The Tigers scored to make it 7-2 for Saskatoon. Shinkaruk, right after the goal skated towards Siemens behind the net and they both collided. Siemens and Shinkaruk started a pushing match. Doty came in and started fighting Siemens. Dietz came flying in and pulled Doty off of Siemens and starting throwing punches at him. While that was happening Thrower left the penalty box (because of the goal) and came into the scrum and threw his gloves off and starting throwing at Shinkaruk. Shinkaruk turtled and Pierce came in and tried to fight Thrower. Thrower seemed to oblige, but the refs broke them up.

Great game from Thrower overall. He won the hardest working player of the game. Solid game in all areas of the ice.

No kidding. I really like how both Thrower and Dietz play the game. Mean, punishing, and they don't back down from anyone. Both are skilled hockey players too.

I like the amount of grit that we have on our back end. Tinordi, Ellis, Thrower and Dietz all can be mean. I love the style that our defence is moving towards.

Beaulieu with his body could get more physical. He's also a pretty good fighter!

That's a nice brochette indeed.

There is lots of the ingredients necessary for a sound defensive game coming up through the ranks and with Subban,Emelin,Gorges and Diaz the Habs have the trading blocks in place to acquire offensive help when the prospects mature.Bennett is still to come as well as Didier if they all make it which looks really promising, the Habs could almost Ice two sets of NHL defence corps. With the development team now in place it's conceivable rather than not as it's been in the past. This upcoming draft might be worthy of a trade to insure the Habs of not one but maybe two "Elite"Top Six forwards to speed the future progress of the offence by a year.Drouin & MacKinnon or Monahan/Lindholm/Barkov would definitely make our team formidable within four years.

1 goal and 2 assists for Bozon so far tonight. Granted, it's against the woeful Giants...

Hudon's making his comeback tomorrow, so I'll be able to see him play since the Sags are in town to play the Phoenix

I'll probably write my thoughts here after the game.

Roby St-Gelais ‏@robystgelais

Charles Hudon effectuera un retour au jeu demain chez les Saguenéens lorsqu'ils rendront visite au Phoenix de Sherbrooke. #LHJMQ #Habs

Also, here are the highlights of last night's 3 pt game for Bozon

I was a bit worried about Hudon being injury prone but, knock on wood, his recovery times have been very quick.

Hudon really needs to bulk up,if he could gain 20 lbs. of muscle over the next couple of years before going to the AHL he will be able to cope much better with the pro game.Much like Brendan Gallagher and the work he did with his father when playing for the Giants.Being in peak physical condition does prolong player's careers and it makes them less likely to get minor injuries,Gallagher is proof of that, playing the same type of game as Hudon without injury for most of his junior career. Watching Hudon's return from injury, he just scored on a wicked shot, was on the point on the PP and was moving the puck well.

Dietz with a goal. Already his 11th.

Vail with an assist as Windsor is giving up a ton of goals to the Gally-less Sting.

Make it 2 assists for Brady. 36 PTS in 39 games.

Sherbrooke is actually climbing the standings a bit, they have 11 points their last 10 games and passed cape Breton.

yeah they have improved a lot recently but still, they've had their moments tonight

not a Habs prospect but Alexandre Boivin is finding his strides slowly but surely. After leaving the CCHL and joining the Remparts, had a tough start but his last games have been much better.

Maybe Phil Housley is right to play Gally limited min as a 4th liner.

Facts

1.USA are in gold medal game.

2.The Sting where obviously held back by playing him as a 1st liner.

Looking forward to see him on the Sting 4th line where he belongs after the U20.

Before anyone mentions it, beeing 2nd for scoring in OHL is irrelevant, just like it was at the U20. Stats are not a fact.
