Good idea, and the Canadian clubs wouldn't have to put in 60% of the total revenue to support all those sorry-ass American franchises!

Nah. Most imports in the CHL are there because it's good business to bring in imports. Imports improve the league.

It's not like those very same imports wouldn't know what to do without the CHL. I'm pretty sure Grigorenko would still be an elite prospect.

Some here certainly believe he'd be better.

I don't think Cherry knows that most of the people who watch Coaches Corner and read his stuff do so for comedic relief.

Don Cherry is laughing all the way to the bank-and at all the people who take him so seriously! Don't like what he says-don't listen.

I love that idea. Then maybe a Canadian team will win the cup

TBH, the only think that really bothers me about him is that he has been given a pulpit on the CBC. Don should be schlepping his wares on a privately owned sports network.

The idea is really starting to grow on me. We would need a few more CDN teams too.

His followers? Are we talking about the same Don Cherry? Is there a cult I'm missing out on?

That has always been a point of contention. Ruffles feathes and also helped drive ratings and make the HNIC propery money for the taxpayers (or lessen the burden ). Honestly it's amazing he survived on the CBC of all places for all these years?

Just look through this thread. You'll find some. And I can't even imagine how many agree with him out in Canada. So tired of it all.

I'm not sure of the numbers but I think quite a few Canadian woman attend(ed) American colleges.

Sometimes emotion takes over Don's brain and he says stupid things.

Why let it worry you.....and there's quite a few Canadian kids playing basketball in the best development program in the world...The NCAA.

Don Cherry - a well-known Canadian homer - being blinded by passion for his country and discrediting other countries as a result. Color me shocked.

Do you like, respect and agree with Don Cherry? In most of his opinions that is.

I agree with some of the things he has said but certainly not with his latest comments.

He's actually a very generous person who like I previously stated says stupid things once in a while.
