I like the Buffalo climate, it's cooler most of the year and it makes me happy

edit: I have a jersey I need to be longer at the sleeves.. is there is a decent tailor or some place I can go to get this done?? The jersey is 30 years old and it's the old heavy mesh style.

If you want moderate temps year round then Monterey would be up your alley, except cost of living would kill you

Yeah, that's definitely the perfect climate.

It's not that there aren't normal women, it's just that your normal female is quite abnormal from a male point of view.

Gazing at my facebook news feed reminds me why I am happily single some-times. No thanks.

Wait until you're married / have a family. You may change your mind.

Ideally, if I live in a place more urban (and less cold) I'd probably skip owning a car altogether. As much as I like cars, they're way too expensive compared to their utility.
Now that is irony. Don't you work for an Audi dealership and have no problem dropping monthly coin on a lease most of us would rather stick in a 401(k)? I agree with you that if I were in a true urban area with good metro, I'd seriously consider ditching a car. But you could also go with the used, er... "pre-owned" in your lingo, route.

Washington, DC (and the surrounding part of Virginia) has an awesome public transportation system that I would kill for. I can't believe so many people still choose to commute into that place. What a nightmare.
IF they don't kill you first...

Heck, go find two of them. Corner the world market.

That "life is better single vs. in a relationship" thing can be like a sine wave. Or maybe it's a cosine wave. Or maybe it's only an issue when your view / feelings cycle like a sine wave and your opposite's feelings cycle like a cosine wave. 180 degrees out of phase. Get in sync, though, with him/her and it's great.

@Brian: If you knew the specifics of the Audi Employee lease program, you'd understand. Let's just say I can lease a $40,000 Audi for about the same as you can a Ford Focus. It's astoundingly good.

I spent about a week in DC riding the rail system and I didn't at any point feel unsafe. I'd wager I was probably the least educated, poorest person on that thing the entire time. It was certainly much more safe than riding the metro bus around here.

As long as you don't live in the wrong half of DC you're fine.

You definitely didn't hit some of the seedier parts then as there's some scary people there and it ain't all Silver Springs, Bethesda. But they do have a great system, but as in most big cities the secret is knowing the peak hours and working around them.

Well now, there's an Audi dealership being built ~1 mile from my house. Will keep that in mind as a part-time retirement job possibility. and good for you! Happy employees are good advertisement, anywhere!!

And I've also safely and happily ridden the DC metro - my comment was tongue in cheek given your initial post.

edit: I remember a bar near embassy row / "M" street with >100 beers from around the world. Something called the rathskeller or brick-cellar or something like that. Was there years ago before my pallete was as fully developed as it is now. Would be dangerous for me to do some sampling there, now.

a nice place to visit, and raise a family.
100 miles from DC
100 miles from the Va Beach
60 miles to mountains

we like it.

Richmond and traffic do not go together.

DC and traffic go together.
Dallas and traffic go together.
Va Beach/64 East and traffic go together (which I'm sure you've experienced... )

Driving around here is a breeze, compared to those other cities. I live 16 miles from work, and can make it there in less than 20 minutes.

I love Duddy - he's the man.

I'm also liking these tidbits of the 2014 A4 with electric rear wheel drive. Plz don't cost a ridiculous amount.

Nothing really going on tomorrow, but Sunday is my 24th birthday. Going out to eat with my parents at the usual place.

Olive Garden. People love to hate on them (they're the McD's of sit down dinner) but I absolutely love their food, idc if it's cooked in a microwave.

OG does a good job! Hey, if you like it that's all that counts. You could do much much worse. Enjoy!

How are a wife and a hurricane similar?

At first there's a lot of sucking and blowing, then they take your house

I know its a bad joke but I'm feeling sophomoric with my humor today
