Actually, there's a good chance that there won't be any returning players for Canada at all. Maybe Reilly and Reinheart, but I wouldn't count on either at this point. At this point, it may be to Canada's benefit to just go in fresh.

Russia will have a couple of key guys back though, Vasilevsky will probably return and Nikushkin will too, and he'll be a tank by then.

Truth of the matter is that Canada did not deserve a medal. I will never harbor a grudge against the kids, even Murphy, for their performances, but I do not want to hear about us missing Murray. Yes, he would've been an important piece, but the ****ing Swedes beat the Russians without Brodin, Lindholm and Klefbom, so enough with that.

Players got outplayed against the US, coach got outcoached end of story, and yes, a huge part of the blame goes to the coach. Once again, Spott made me question his ability behind the bench in OT. Rielly and Murphy are not the best defensive players, everyone knows that, so putting them on at the same time on a 4-on-4 do or die situation is pretty much ASKING for it. Murphy misplayed it, Rielly misplayed it, but why the heck were they on at the same time? Yet another blunder amongst the seemingly laughable laundry line of ******** that Spott has conjured up throughout the tourney. He better go nowhere near the World Juniors ever again, not after screwing up with the best line-up on paper since 2009.

I think the double standard on HF bothers me, not the taunting. They won fair and square so they can do whatever they want...

That's the real indication of talent, not short international tournaments.
Oh please...

Just imagine the torrent of tears if it was Canada taunting the Russian bench. The Russians do it and fans of other countries just drop to their knees. Being hated is funny.

Classless taunting puts a damper on a pretty good game, regardless congrats Russia. Ufa did a fantastic job with this tourney, should be proud of themselves.

Go team Sweden. Quite turned off by the mouthy, ****-talkin' American posters.

What an irony... in German, "Spott" means mockery. Nomen est omen, I guess... ;-)

Canada lived and died with their PP. This team sucked at ES play and that was the difference in the tourney.

Did the Canadians start all that? I remember other teams in other sports (Beckham comes to mind) doing the same celebratory gesture after scoring a goal/point/touch/etc.

Yea, Rielly had support from the 3rd defender... Who the hell was supporting him? He pinched in to get the puck, missed it and had his winger come barring down on Murphy who let him walk by while another Russian was crashing in and Rielly had to try and make a move to do something when it was too late.

Take your ****ing homer glasses off.
All I see is people like you complaining while this thread has had very little of excuses.

The shock for me is how well they played vs Russia and the U.S. in the round robin. They really did look good in those games.

All sides have their bad apples, so why do people do this? Paint a whole by just a few? It is silly on the NHL boards and just as silly here.

Canada wouldn't do that though. Maybe during a game but not after the tournament just ended.

Drouin got tons of icetime, scored goals, points, was counted on. MacKinnon got nothing of this, and he still will be 1st or 2nd overall... is this just because he's got better physique?
