I honestly think Grigorenko was okay in all those games, not stellar by any means, but he was one of the few players who created plays and didn't play 1v5 each time (see:Yakupov).

And as a sidenote Yakupov was good against Sweden and really good today.
Meh, disagree. Yakupov played alone from his team all tournament, and easy tip-ins as his 2 goals aren't that great of an accomplishment.

How about trying something different for a change and see that there might be some good coaching in another part of Canada called Quebec? Why can't they have a shot?

Certainly could have used him and his defensive talent when the collapse began then.
They took Jaden Schwartz and I don't think he's a Toews type.

Dylan Olsen as well.

great game it was, certainly a joy to watch. i wish slepyshev didn't taunt tho, otherwise it would have been just a classy victory for us. hopefully that wont affect his draft position, the kid has been quite alright during the tourney.

Amazing game, just amazing. Nichushkin will get drafted.

Yakupov still needs to learn how to lead a team, but not that he doesn't have time.

The "big" games are not necessarily the ones against the top teams but much more so the important games in the quarterfinals and semifinals. I honestly don't know how anybody who watched any of these games could say Grigorenko didn't show up. Oh and BTW, did you miss his save in OT just before the game winner?

Amazed the turnaround he has pulled off, he was basically fired as an assistant in Detroit before getting that job.

I'm pissed off that team Canada abused a great player like MacKinnon in this tournament.

Great game, and epic ending with a 17 year old scoring the OT GWG. Wish it was MacKinnon.

He better be drafted, god knows you can only ignore Ruskies for so long before you wish you had one on your team.

He's undrafted already I don't think his average KHL season and average WJC increase chance of being drafted.

Spott is probably go to blame Stevie Yzerman for this one. I noticed weeks before the tourny started and in the selection camp, once the team was made |Spott identified Stevie Yzerman as somebody with whom he consulted, and Stevie Y said, " You can never have too much skill." Spott threw a few people under the bus before the tourny started, he identified in an interview the idiot "genius" at Hockey Canada who came up with the brilliant idea of the sunlamps.. I've had certain doubts about Spott ever since last summer... but hey...it's over now. thankfully.

Since the Oilers started getting number 1 draft picks they've had much to much say in WJC and WHC teams. Since then we've been losing. I honestly don't think it's a coincidence.

You dont think NHL-clubs rather draft Nort Americans since they know more about CHL usually and the players in the league? They also know that it's a big transition for a euro to play in NA with big ice and languages. And most NHL clubs want the euro players to be top players in the team, and therefore dont bother to draft euro roleplayers, in the the bottom lines it is more common to use Canadians or Americans.

And there is also the "russian factor", which sometimes applies on other euros aswell. It's much more of a risk to draft a euro which is why more NA is drafted. And it is of course a North american league, the teams want NA players in first hand.

Just icing on the cake that Spott was stupid enough to play Murphy and Rielly together in ot.

It honestly reached a point for me where I couldn't even make fun of this idiot anymore.

He's pathetic........that's really all I can say about him

What was his ice time because in the games I saw it looked like he didn't play much?

he had them together the whole game and in the USA game not just the OT. Spott needs to be banned from HC.

Watching that last goal again, why didnt Rielly hit him?? He just allowed Nichushkin to go right to the front of the net and go by subban.

Any d-man would take that guy out...

More and more i watch it, it was more Riellys fault then Murphys.
