Good game and a good win for Russia.
Canada had twice as many shots after 1st period.

Very good game
It could have gone either way
Excellent PR for hockey
Crazy offense both ways.
Not easy game for the goalies
These 6-5 Russia vs Canada games (or vice versa) have become quite the icon.
Nuge was very good
Murphy too (except the last goal)
Nail showed some flair as well
Final will most likely be a doozy too
Swedens 5 man speedy attack against a very strong Team USA.
Sweden has this amazing & uncanny way of finding someone to play in almost all situations giving them a very dominant puck possession game. US is stronger physically.
Sweden will come out strong, but USAs edge on defense (considering Team Swedens 1-4 on D are absent) and possibly in goal could prove to be decisive, time will tell...

Well, here on the Rangers board, I think it's time to focus on the one that will be remembered. USA vs. Sweden.

Gibson has to be the better goalie; they have to keep the puck in the Swedish zone and play physical but stay out of the box.
Lets go USA.

The US is holding onto the puck too long. They need to make quicker decisions.

I think US is dominating heavily getting Sweden off their possession game. Sweden looks nervous and overly excited

Agree on the goalie interference call. Was "meh" weak... Otherwise I think refs were pretty good in the 1st period

The first five or so minutes (nerves?) they were guilty of this. They look better lately.
Two offensive zone penalties. They've got to be smarter.
Overall, good first period. Lundstrom has been the difference.

If this were NHL officiating, I'd say USA needs to rattle Lundstrom a bit, but that's gonna be tough to do if the refs are gonna call contact like they are.
Just gonna have to beat the guy.

How do you make that goalie interference call and miss that slash?

Awful goal by Lundstrom. Let's hope that stays in his head. Great hustle by Grimaldi.
