Interesting attempt. I've always liked Murray's game though I know Sharks fans aren't always thrilled with his lack of footspeed and positioning. If Fistric were to get traded Murray might be a good replacement to pick up that hitting slack. Fiddler is indeed possibly expendable from the Stars' perspective as well. Not that he isn't a good bottom-6er, he absolutely is, but there are several forward prospects in the AHL who are very close to being ready (R. Smith, Fraser, Sceviour) and could use the open spot. I do see a problem with it for Phoenix though. I doubt they'd be down for subtracting Korpikoski while adding Richardson. Korpikoski's speed on the wing seems to play well in Tippett's system.

Vancouver Gets: Ales Hemsky, Mikael Backlund Gives: Roberto Luongo
- The Canucks deal their most moveable asset to fill their two biggest holes.

Calgary Gets: Paul Stastny, Tobias Rieder Gives: Mark Giordano, Curtis Glencross, Mikael Backlund
- Trade some of their good depth players for the #1C they covet and add a B prospect in the process

Edmonton Gets: Roberto Luongo, Kyle Brodziak Gives: Ales Hemsky, Sam Gagner, Tobias Rieder
- Get their true number one goalie for Hemsky + prospect and swap their small, skilled #2C for a bigger, tougher local boy without sacrificing production.

Colorado Gets: Mark Giordano, Sam Gagner Gives: Paul Stastny
- Downgrade at center to get a top pairing LD to play with EJ.

Minnesota Gets: Curtis Glencross Gives: Kyle Brodziak
- Glencross adds a bit more goalscoring ability to that #2LW position for a team that lacks offense.

Seems like fun, I'll try my best.

Vancouver - Brodziak, Cammalleri
Edmonton - Schneider, Sarich
Calgary - EDM 1st (2013), COL 1st (2013)
Colorado - Glencross, Brodin
Minnesota - Ballard, Barrie, Higgins

The way I see it here is Vancouver feels two huge needs getting a great top 6 player who steps it up come playoff time and a great option for 3rd line center for a goalie that needs to go, a square peg player, and Chris Higgins. Edmonton gives up their 1st this year and Sutton for a good up and coming goalie which would make Dubnyk expendable (I feel Oilers could play out the duo at first, or flip either one as both have great potential) they trade back 4 years for another reliable defenseman who will be around for a little longer. Calgary sacrifices the now for the future and can begin rebuilding with three first round picks in 2013, they should be able to get at least 2 really good prospects. Colorado gives up a really good offensive d-men prospect and their first round pick for a future stud defenseman and some forward depth. Minnesota gives their third-line center and 2011 1st round pick for some defensive help now and in the future as well as an extremely versatile forward who can help them shoulder the load in the offensive zone.

All these trades are terrible for Minnesota. Atrocious even.

We give up Brodin and Brodziak for Ballard, Barrie, and Higgins? Disgusting. Brodin > Ballard and Brodziak > Higgins. Barrie isn't worth enough to cover both of those player's values.

Also Glencross for Brodziak? Pass. Big time.

We aren't giving up Zucker or Coyle either.

I don't see why not. They are getting a damn good deal for a very capable #1C. Leafs fans tend to forget that you have to give to get and this is a very reasonable deal if they want a good center for kessel and lupul.

It's Yannick Weber sorry. Buffalo gets a #1C for decent 2nd/3rd line wing and top 4 d. why not? Michalek is worth more than Stafford so I threw in Sekera.

Krejci averages about 60 points, that's just a little ahead of Grabovski. Gardiner,Kadri and Kulemin is a massive overpayment for a guy who would only be a 1C here because of our lack of center depth. On a contending team, he is 2C at best.

You mean the guy that centred the Bruins #1 line to the SCF?

Even though the Rangers don't have Dubinsky, I still don't like the trade from their POV.

Maybe, maybe not. Ennis really started breaking out at the end of last season. In any case, Plekanec is definitely not worth Sekera + Stafford to Buffalo. We're not contending right now -- if we were trying to, it probably wouldn't go very well if that's the best thing we have at center -- so we may as well let the kids play and keep our best defensive d-man.

Voracek's cap hit is the down fall. NJ will be in the driver seat for some great trades with their cap set up. IN LOU WE TRUST.

I agree. But cap space is going to be very valuable over the next couple of year's . So we are going to see some very unexpected trades. Were teams are going to over paying to get rid of cap hits.

Nobody else trades an elite player except for us. Though Columbus and Detroit both give up some good pieces, we are giving up a top 5 defender in the league. Maybe I'm just a nitpicky homer. I also think that Columbus or Detroit don't do this either.

Johnson is gonna be a nice piece for the BJ's and it seems like he likes it there, maybe he'll finally give that franchise some stability.

Again with the nitpicking, but Smith is what we've been waiting for since Radulov left, no way we trade him for just another defenseman.

Good work though, it's really hard coming up with something that all teams are happy with. I might try and do one if I'm not busy.
I have to agree. Nashville doesn't give up Weber for Sharp, a redundant piece in Perron (the last thing Nashville needs to stay in the habit of doing is loading up with 50pt forwards) and Cole, who needs a contract after this season, if there is a season.
