LOL.. Archibald just tried to put someone through the glass. I glanced at his dad's stats, he had 303 PIMs in 1 AHL season, so he must take after his dad a little bit.
Sustr signing here would definitely be a coup for the Pens. Obviously like others have said, with the depth here it wouldn't make much sense for him. But if he really is that good, he'll make the NHL regardless, and at that point it's all about what organization you want to be a part of going forward. Hopefully Megna, and Archibald to a lesser extent, can sell him a bit on the Pens.

It doesn't hurt to be how huge of a human Sustr is. As long as he isn't a huge pylon, he'll play in the NHL just because of how big he is and how long his wingspan can be.

edit: holy ****, just imagine Errey talking about Sustr's big stick...

Sustr has some ties to the area, having played for the Youngstown Phantoms in the USHL. That may be why he picked Pittsburgh's rookie camp in the first place. Maybe he decides to return to UNO as a senior, and then in 2014 there's more room for him on our depth chart.

Trololol. I don't see why Hynes doesn't put Morrow on it more often if it's sucking this bad.

I still don't see how Sustr wasn't drafted.

I thought I read that Sustr planned on playing 4 years of college regardless of what any team thought.

Does he look like the next Justin Schultz who's gonna pull the next Wheeler on us? (Can you see into his mind, if you look past the fact that he shoots left, unlike Schultz?)

So many things can happen from whenever the season starts to when Sustr leaves College to sign somewhere. As it stands, there are a couple of guys that Shero needs to think about with their future and this team, that doesn't include Ben Lovejoy for one. A spot or two can open up and Sustr could find his way on the Pens.

How did Archibald look? I saw he had a hat-trick in the boxscore.

Oscar Sundqvist had his first ever SEL goal today when Skellefteå beat Frölunda 2-0, a nice little tip-in on the 1-0.

He has been with the mens team a few games now since there is a lot of injuries. However, i think he might be a regular next season. Depending on how many players that get new contracts or leave for NHL.

Solid. Goals 1 and 3 were due to good positioning around the net. The 2nd one was a nice turn to the backhand cutting across the net.

What surprised me is that he completely layed out about 3 players in the first period alone. I didn't know he had the strength in him -- didn't pass up many chance to play the body. Lost some steam in the 3rd, but I think that was more due to the game being out of reach than him being really fatigued.

Archibald is a guy you don't like playing against. He is going to make you pay if he gets the chance.

I've only seen him play a couple of times but in every game I've seen he forechecks like the Tasmanian Devil, every time he has a guy lined up he wants to put him through the glass and a few rows back. It's impressive given that he's I guess average sized for the NCAA and will be slightly undersized at the pro level. I remember he slammed into the boards in one of the WJC games, he didn't have his man lined up quite right but he still went all in on the hit.

Since being drafted, I've always thought of & compared Archibald to Tyler Kennedy. I know some people here like to **** on TK, but that's a compliment: a 2-way, hard-working energy guy, who can create some momentum, be aggressive on the forecheck, draw some penalties, and contribute a bit offensively. That's a pretty darn good player overall, and fantastic as a 6th round draft pick.

But I guess what you guys are saying about the physical play is, it sounds like he may have just a bit of Ryan Callehan. This is a player I'm excited about and have him right there with guys like Agostino & Kuhnhackl as guys who have the ability to be real contributors for this team in the future. Great to see he is stepping it up so much this year.

He will be 20 in February so I think that means he will be allowed to play in the A next season

Pouliot still not back in the lineup, getting me worried now

Archibald had another goal tonight, 11 goals now.
Hanowski was scoreless but had 9 SOG, so at least hes trying

I also saw yesterday that Maguire won another start, from what ive seen hes been winning a lot of games since he got pulled in his first start.
