Gaudreau is not magically going to change his build. Even if he does put on muscle, there is only so much you can do before its too much.
Andrew Luck is already at the top level there is. NCAA season is what, 34 some odd games? Hard to really compare to the rigors of the NHL like the physicality as well as the travel, etc. All I said was "I hardly expect his game to translate well to the NHL" meaning, I don't think you'll see him dominating the competition like he does against junior players. IMO Grigorenko is the steal of the draft at #12.
Lol I know I was trying to say a random comment. Fair enough, thats your opinion, I was just curious as to why you thought that. Now I know. I respectfully disagree and think he has the IQ to succeed.
Yea Kane's 9 points in 7 game were much better than JG's 9 points in 7 games.
Kane scored 9 points as a 17 year old, Gaudreau did it as a 19 year old.
And none-the-less I don't think anyone is saying Gaudreau will become the type of player Kane is in the NHL, the only thing people are saying is that their playing styles are very similar.

Yes I agree but he said it was as dominate and they looked very similar when they played in this tournament maybe he meant Kane's was more impressive but age doesn't change how dominate a player is.
Using pictures like that is so dumb. You don't know what kind of shoes/skates these players are wearing and they are all at different angles. Pictures are so misleading with height because it can look different depending on where the picture was taken...like the depth and the angle.
If I had to make an educated guess about JG...I would say 5'7 or 5'8. My guess is right in the middle at 5'7 and 1/2
5"6, 7 8 9 10 11.. Does it really matter in the end? he isn't 3 feet tall... Just let the kid develop and I am sure he will try as hard as he can to do so. He is closer to the NHL then any of us arguing like old women on the damn internet.

I keep shaking my head at the people still bringing up his lack of height, he's more than tall enough to snipe top shelf goals, win MVP awards and championships but yet he's too short to make the NHL
Enjoyed watching him at the WJC but I think he's in tough as far as the NHL goes. He's light, he's short and looks like he has short limbs.
Totally different game on the bigger ice surface for him and one to his advantage. On smaller ice he won't be able to create as much space for himself.
