No, but do people in Ottawa only go out when the Sens are playing? What did they do before 1992?

Very close.

Usually it's for Executive Committee to provide info to team reps on status. Give opinion. Seek opinion. Before putting all to paper. Then go for ratification vote.

My guess is agree verbally tonight. Write up and hopefully approve in principle tomorrow. Ratification vote Monday.

I believe Fehr and the members of the Negotiating Committee are the ones who have the say on submitting the proposal to the membership for vote.

That's true. Trying to keep things optimistic. God that word is so overused these days.

Who really cares? Are people really that interested in a meaningless two week exhibition tourney with made-up teams?

Fehr needs a few more players for his crowd shoulder ride out of the room chanting his name.

It's pretty well established that pro sporting events are a major boon to restaurants and bars. People will still go out, but a lot more people go out before or after a game.

Yes. Did you catch any of Canada's gold medal win in men's hockey in 2010? It inspired millions of Canadians.

yes because some people are hockey fans, not just nhl fans. and some people are patriotic when it comes to the olympics/international games.

I do. If nothing else, it's nice for some superstars that play on crappy nhl teams, to possibly with something that some people actually do care about.

I go to bars and restaurants way more during the NHL season. It's an excuse to go out with the guys.
