Going to be a lot of angry Spanish players there if Rafa or Pep isn't their boss next season.

I don't believe that Isco story. They are not going to go out and spend £20m in a position where they already have Mata, Hazard, Oscar and are apparently keeping Lampard? As great as Isco is, he doesn't immediately jump ahead of the first 3.

I think they're wanting Oscar to go into a holding role.

There's been a lot of talk that a lot of the players are very tired, so bringing in extra backup at mid seems plausible to me. Is it likely? Who knows.

Isco should not be used as a backup, would be a waste of talent.

Once the likes of Oscar, Hazard get settled into the EPL, with Luiz finding full comfort at DM and there is some stability in the team and management (yeah, right), they won't have to rely so much on Mata. He is without a doubt this team's MVP. With the arrival of Ba and hopefully some additions in midfield they could be a very solid core. And some youngsters like Piazon, De Bruyne, etc. can make an impact too.

I want to give guys like Marin and Moses some time. They have a lot of potential. Once they get used to the life in the EPL or a top team (in the case of Moses) they could be very good support pieces.

What the hell?! If this is true, why wasn't Arsenal on this, ****.

Mirror also saying that Villa to Arsenal move is about done. Will not understand why we will pay 15 million euros for a guy in his 30s and pass on Isco (if these rumours are true).

Forgot about Ba's buyout clause. Great business by Chelsea there, even if it doesn't pan out.

I wouldn't put much stock into a Villa sale. Barça don't buy/sell much during the January window. Would like to grab a bit more for him, but that's not a bad offer all things considered. I think he'd be quite good for Arsenal. Big wages though. Personally I'd let him go this Summer so long as we move for a few guys. Three guys out there are interesting.

Isco to Chelsea wouldn't surprise me. His buyout is pretty low and Chelsea, like many other big clubs but only better, have been targeting a lot of young talent for years. I just don't get why they dicked around with Markin this Summer. Now if Chelsea can bag another striker, dump Torres and keep Lampard they're still moving in the right direction. Of course as detestable as they are I'd love to see them miss out on the CL just generally, but it'd be nice to poach a guy like Oscar not that Barça need him. Of course they'll make the CL so it won't happen. Anyway, would prefer Isco stayed at Malaga.

Still think Rossi was a good move for Fiorentina. His injury is the whole thing though. If he stays healthy I think Montella will incorporate him into that side and they could do even more damage in Serie A. In fact his injury is IMO what allowed Fiorentina to even get him. Anyway, smart gamble IMO. If he doesn't work out it's only 10-11 million lost. If he does the variables will be worth it because the move will clearly be working out.

Marin doesn't have a lot of potential. I'm fairly confident that he already has been all that he ever will be, which is not remotely close to the level of player that should be expected on a team like Chelsea. He was barely working out for Bremen the past few years, and was rather ineffective at that level, let alone anything higher. I never understood that buy, and if Chelsea ties any hopes to him making an impact, they'll either need opposition to be way worse than what he faced in Germany or they'll get disappointed. He simply is a one-dimensional, not overly talented player.

Marin can be a good dribbler who takes people on and creates danger when he's playing next to a maestro like Ozil or Mata who does all his thinking for him. That said at a club like chelsea that makes him a bit player. But yes he's nearing his ceiling already.

Diame apparently has a 3.5m buy out. Definitely the type of player Arsenal could use. Surprised a bigger team than West Ham didn't sign him in the first place.

Kenny had him sealed up before the decision was taken out of his hands. Still think Liverpool should go back for him.

It's the heart condition that's keeping bigger clubs from moving in. If not for that he could have his pick of clubs.

So Lille wants to get rid of Salomon Kalou (obviously), and Kalou says he has two EPL offers on the table : one from West Ham and one from Liverpool.
Directly from himself.

Some news here regarding the EPL :

- Newcastle is targeting M'Vila (Rennes), Rémy (OM), Aliadière (Lorient) and Thauvin (Bastia).
They're facing competition from Zenith and QPR (M'Vila), as well as Schalke, Dortmund and QPR again (Rémy).

Thauvin is a young prospect, very good so far, U21 starter, but also new to high level (has only played 16 L1 games).

Evilo, are Arsenal making any noise in France? Are we still targeting M'Vila?

From reading most things, it really does seem on that Lampard will not be given any kind of extension. Bigger theories are that Abramovich is looking to have a complete clear out of the old guard.

From what I've read yes, they're still after him.
If he only costs 10-12M€, there's no better bargain on the transfer market. Better than Ba probably.

Well if it comes down to wages, Newcastle isn't going to get who they want.

Skysports says Arsenal bid £8 million for George McCartney. That would be a good move, he's a really underrated player, IMO.

arsenal trying to get Villa from Barca, but says he won't move until summer because his wife is due next month.
