Angelidis is a ****ing rock. I already had a ton of respect for him but those two blocked shots on the PK has to go miles for his teammates and the fans. Great Captain and as tough as they come.

So the AHL does not have tie downs on their jerseys, therefore no tie down rule I take it?

Namestnikov didn't do too bad in that fight. He's gotta work on the part where he avoids getting punched in the face, but at least we know he can take a few to the nose and keep going

He's had to drop the gloves before when he was with the London Knights.

It's just this team where everybody sticks together. In the words of Gudas, "There’s a rule on the team. If one goes, all go." Whether or not these guys are fighters or will ever fight again, you gotta love that about this group.

They do have tie downs and your supposed to get a game misconduct if your not.
I think Rosehill's might have broke early in that scrap. Only thing I can think of.

Koekoek-atchoo!!! Six #OHL teams bidding for Petes captain. 5 from West. 1 from East. Prime blueline talent. Won't 1-hand stickcheck in OT.

I'm hoping he ends up in London so he can be coached by Hunter, but he'd be battling for icetime with Harrington, Maatta, and Zadorov.

I hope so too. They have a great program there in London. Koekkoek not having to be the do everything guy might be a good thing too. He could probably use some rest and needs somebody to pull the reins on him a little bit. They'll do a good job with him no doubt. If he plays well with Zadorov and we end up drafting him, that's a plus, but Harrington should turn pro when the season is through.

Just got NHL 13 and want to know why aren't any of the past draft picks assigned to their teams? Also is there a way to get Brown and Killorn on the Crunch?

If you download the latest roster update, you should have an up-to-date Crunch team. Some NHL-quality players are left off AHL squads to avoid duplicates, but you can manually move them to their respective teams.

The Dish from Killorn to Connolly was inspired. The finish was even more impressive. Killorn is an absolute beast.

I totally agree about Killorn. Recognizing what was in front of him and making that pass IMO won that game. I thought he was NHL ready from early on in the season because he was always in position and never made a bad play with the puck and since then he's had scoring chances that he always takes advantage of.
Very impressive player

BriseBois said all the pertinent details, such as the opening of the Lightning camp, still have to be worked out. But he said the approach of the organization toward its minor-league team - which leads the AHL with 49 points - won't change.

"This doesn't change anything in what we're trying to do in Syracuse,'' BriseBois said. "Everyone needs to focus on what we can control. We have good depth. Realistically, every team (in the AHL) will be affected. For the most part, teams will be losing some of their best players.''

One immediate issue is waivers. Syracuse has five players who must clear waivers before continuing to play in the AHL - Mike Angelidis, Matt Taormina, Evan Oberg, Keith Aulie and P.C. Labrie.
Quote:
Still, BriseBois said he anticipates that everyone currently on the Crunch roster will be available to take the ice Wednesday when Syracuse visits Rochester.

Andrei Vasilevski is currently playing his first full start at Salavat Yulaev. the opponent is reigning league champs Dinamo Moscow, albeit without just-departed Ovechkin, Backstrom & Komarov. the game is going into 2nd with Salavat leading 1-0, Vasilevski looking rock solid so far.
