You would think, but this is the NHL.....

You guys really need to calm down and stop checking twitter every 5 seconds thinking the lockout is over.

Don't recall any of your posts, saw you whine about being done with this league and responded. Frankly I don't care what you have said in the past. I am laughing at how ridiculous you (actually many on here) are being.

I am laughing that so many people have no clue how the cap and escrow and hrr actually works when all is said and done. I am laughing at how everything is the greedy player's fault and fehr's fault on this site. As if these owners actually care about you OR about the game.

Anyways, I am off to go watch the packers-vikings game with a friend who is a vikings fan. hopefully I come home to find out this is over and all of you who "Are done with this league", and "done with these greedy players". will be singing completely different tunes.
I don't think that's accurate.

I don't remember what the Year 1 make whole was, but if it was in the $100-150M range, and the player share of revenue was $1.5B, well, you do the math as to how much money is actually being kicked into the system.

Told NHLPA has moved on the salary cap to 64.3 which happens to be the upper limit from last year. #TSN https://twitter.com/aaronward_nhl/st...22893729742850

It's more than just that.

League is at 63, PA at 65. That 60 million dollar cap loss is huge to the players.

Towels remain a big issue with the PA.

Minimum contract in year 9 of CBA is a big one

PA still at 7 years max, league at 6 years max

Lots of important issues left.

If they make a deal soon. I wonder how long time its gonna take for the greedy players to start kissing fans butts.

They will talk about how they finally can play and how much they "love" the game. All things we know now to be complete ********. Its all about the money now, every little cent they can get is worth more then hockey to them.

You are living in a delusional world.

People seem to ignore Floridas attendance. And we've had a pretty decent attendance after 10 years of failure. We have true fans, not as many bandwagon-fans as other teams (how many fans did Pens/Caps/Hawks etc have when they had trouble? Not even close to Floridas attendance). But with the recent success of the team, I think the attendance will keep increasing. And its very disrespectful to compare Florida and Phoenix, you obviously don't know what you are talking about.

And FYI hockey in Florida is fast growing, you see more and more players coming out of here.
