I watched probably 7 or 8 LE games this season so far, and my biggest observation is that they are very uncreative. They play a very simplistic game. The only players that have creativity are Sgarbossa, Barrie, and Elliott. Olver, Agozzino have a little bit but they really play more fundamental than anything.

We have got to get some more creative players out there. Unfortunately the only one in the system seems to be Colin Smith.

If Hishon can get healthy and start playing he'll really help that aspect out.

True, but I'm not expecting much from Hishon after almost years off due to injury. But, really hope Hishon can make full recovery because he wasn't called the "magician" for no reason.

Was he actually called the magician?

Yeah I'm pretty sure his nickname was Hishon the Magician when he played for Owen Sound.

Can we trade them in for a regular man's Patrick Kane?

Geoff called him Parise, I called him Kane. He lacks strength and physicality to be around Parise's game-type IMO. Also he is a much better passer and than shooter. Either way both are good comparisons.

It was actually Magician Hishon. Avs will be doing the same when he gets healthy.

I was at the game last and both Elliott and Barrie had excellent games. Its obvious that Elliott hass been focusing more on his defensive issues and it is responsible for his drop in production, but the skill is definitely there. Barrie looked very good, smooth and great vision of the ice.

Up front I liked Agozzino's game, despite his size he can still play as a 3rd or 4th liner in the NHL. I'm not sure what his contract status is, but the Avs should sign him t o amulti year deal if they haven't already. In a short NHL season like the one about to get underway, a player like Agozzino can contribute immediately as a call up.

Pickard played an excellent game as well.

I'm not sure he can play at the NHL level sure to his size, but he is certainly fun to watch.

His size is his liability, but I can still seeing being able to compete quite well in a checking role in the NHL (5-10 isn't that small). He is a very smart player with tremendous leadership qualities, watching him take charge of the PK in overtime last night was a true pleasure.

For a rookie in the AHL, he is showing a lot of good things.

I haven't been paying much attention. Does anyone own Agozzino's rights in the NHL or is he a free agent?

He is a free agent, but I get the sense that Avs had a saying for Lake Erie on who to sign, because think about it. He's from OHL, under 6'0", great skill set, and is a character player.

yep , IF we are lucky and he does play , i beleive that he will have to be in the AHL for a full season if not two. Dont forget that he didnt play hockey ( or simply skate) for a long time now .

How do you think Jones will look? Better/worse than the previous seasons?

Depends how you define previous seasons.

He should return to 20-25g form, with his usual 20-25 assists. Scale that down for 48 games versus 82. But he's still not the same Jones that was on pace to break 30 goals before a brutal crash into the boards. His speed is noticeably slower than those days in my opinion.

You meant that injury at the middle of the last season?

Hopefully he`s ok to score 20-20 again (if it were 82 games)
I dropped Mikael Samuelsson and picked up Jones from FA in dynasty fantasy league. Hope i won`t regret this decision

I can't see it but there's some pictures at least of Joey Hishon at practice in Lake Erie. So that's at least something good.
