Never thought I'd see the day when desperately wanting Ponder.

That was a mercy play allowed by the Packers.

I hate being right.

Vikings need a veteran backup. Not an athlete who can't catch, pass or break a tackle.

Webb can still be 3rd string... but the Vikings need a legit backup. Hindsight is easy right now, but I miss Sage... (and Ponder of course)

I was surprised they cut sage, to me he was the best QB at camp. Obviously not a starter but I'd much rather have him over webb

So order of needs for the Vikings this offseason:

1. LEGIT Quarterback as another option if Ponder's game goes to heck again next year.
2. Defense back, cornerback, safety, needs a s*** ton of help.
3. Defensive line. Williams suck and Allen is getting older.
4. Linebacker needs help.
5. WR, signing and/or trading (Larry Fitzgerald maybe).
6. Offensive line, also still needs a s*** ton of a help
7. Resolve whatever is up with Percy situation.

This team may have surprised, but still such a LOOOOOONNNG ways to go to really be legit.

Meh, maybe it's meant to be. "If" the NHL lockout ends this week, it would have been ignored and greatly overshadowed by the Vikes had they won. With the Vikes once again sending us fans to the cliffs, perhaps some die-hard football fans (who are casual hockey fans) may be more open to watching some hockey as a nice distraction from this latest cluster@#$! of a playoff game.

Besides, we can't let the Wolves steal all the football and hockey fans, now can we?

That was one of the worst games I have ever seen played by the Vikings.

If Ponder was just being a whiney baby and couldnt play through the pain, he needs to be jettisoned. I sincerely hope he was actually too injured to play in this game.

And Webb? Cut him. Right now. In the postgame press conference announce he is cut.

I never thought I would say this, but god I miss T. Jack and Sage. And even Ponder.

And the wonderful playoff game against the Giants. Although, was that really a game? Don't 2 teams have to be playing against each other for it to be called a game?

I completely forgot about that, and that was the most embarrissing loss ever.

I remember watching Vikings Live the day after that game. Mitch Berger looked like he was ready to cry. And for good reason. Looked like he was choking on a Snickers bar.

Every time the Vikings break my heart I stop watching for a few years. So I'm sure there are plenty of bad games I have missed over the years, including the 41-0 humiliation against the giants.

Devastating yes, but the devastation was because we should have won both of those games and were playing competently except for a few miscues.

This one was just a joke.

I think the Vikings already have Allen's replacement. Everson Griffen's natural role would be Jared Allen's. He's the pass rushing style DE who provides run support. Robison's spot in this d-line is primarily run support, and griffen in that spot is not playing to his strengths.

My order:

1) An outside, Move the chains WR. They don't need a deep threat, they need a guy who is similar to Michael Jenkins in style of play, but not over the hill.

2) Inside Linebacker. Brinkley hits like a truck, but cannot cover. It's too important of a position in the Tampa 2 defense to have subpar play at that position.

3) Veteran backup QB. You have to make an evaluation of whether you want to keep riding MBT as your 3rd string, or move Webb to that role. A guy like Hasselbeck would be a good start. Alex Smith would be great if he becomes available (Smith would start)

4) RG. Fusco cannot handle big defensive lineman. He's a nice late round pick of a player, and will be great depth for this offensive line if he's not a starter. They need a road grade type RG.

5) Re-sign Loadholt. He has issues pre snap occasionally, but he's the type of downhill blocker the Vikings need in front of AD

6) Defensive Line. You can probably milk one more season out of K-will, you need to groom his replacement.

7) More corner depth in the draft. Winfield won't be around forever, Sherels is only a special teamer.

8) Cut Mystral Raymond, sign competition for Sanford.

9) Percy... IDK what to say about him... If he wants to be here and issues are resolved sign a long-term deal. If not, find a trade partner and stockpile picks.

now is the perfect time to dump percy if in fact he doesn't want to be here, we can probably get a hell of a lot. he was one of the best WR's in the league this year before he got hurt, with a mediocre QB to boot

I hate having Packers fans on my facebook. I can't help but laugh at them gloating about beating us. And then when i say that we had Webb starting they say that they've been injured all year but they did well. I'm sure if Rodgers was injured they would have been just as good.

Me yesterday:

1. Ooooh, Ponder might be hurt? Interesting.
2. Ponder just left the field after 10 warmup tosses...went to the locker room. Interesting!
3. Ponder INACTIVE??? WOW!
4. Joe Webb!
5. Joe **************ing WEBB!
6. Joe Webb...is interesting.
7. Joe Webb is terrible.
8. Holy crap Joe Webb is AWFUL.
9. Joe Webb makes Christian Ponder look like the love child between Joe Montana and Steve Young.
10. Okay this game is flat out terrible, I'm watching Sons.

1. Tampa 2 is dated and needs to go. I think Vikes could/should go 3-4. But with Fraizer as coach, that won't happen.

2. No team is gonna give us a 1st for Harvin. Maybe a 2nd and a sweetener.

So Ponder missed the game because of a bruise?

Okay then...

there was an espn article about it, what he was saying is that it didn't really hurt but his arm was stiff enough that he couldn't throw more than 15 yards. in which case it was the right decision to go with webb

We would have been better off keeping Tarvaris instead of Webb.

It's still a bruise. Throw some Mineral Ice on it and get out there.
