What I meant was, the "pay your bills" nonsense was started by a pissed of server and the night club incident was confirmed by a friend of a friend of a friend who saw it happen at 8 different bars in the same night. Nobody at any of these bars had a camera phone or the wherewithal to mention it until an hour after the bar closed. That is what I meant by idiots starting BS.
Aside from those incidents, that could be written off as nonsense, Kane's character issues are based on:
1) Pay for Tweets (not sure why this is different than Pav selling cars)
2) Speculation that he wants out.
3) More speculation that he wants out.
4) A photo of him with money.
The proliferation of 2 and 3 are aided by the AIH articles linked to in this thread.
...but that very clearly wasn't the premise of the piece. The piece suggested that Kane would get tired of the constant barrage of crap and drama (that has in some instances been proliferated by the local media and gone national) and ask to be traded.
Yet the writer frames it with this...
Quote:
A large portion of the fan base have not warmed to Kane. I doubt they ever will. It matters not how productive he is on the ice. Judging by the fierce, intense reaction to his posting of playful pics from Vegas and previous perceptions of the 21-year-old left winger, it's painfully apparent that Kane is going to get crapped on from high heights if he so much as picks his nose in public.
In the most simplistic terms, fans just don't like him.
Is it a large portion of the fan base, really, or just a minute and vocal minority?

So, you mean like when a local blog posts an article written by Toronto-based blogger that suggests fan behavior in Winnipeg is to blame - when that blogger isn't even positioned in Winnipeg to gauge how the Jets fans on the whole feel about Kane? Like that? That sort of stirring the pot, is that a part of the constant barrage of crap and drama to which you refer?

Are you suggesting it is wrong to say "large portion" without results from a published survey or something? Many people from Winnipeg would have zero bones to pick with that comment and believe it to be true.
I really doubt posts on a sh***y little blog are going to scare Kane away, especially when the posts don't shred him, attack him or begrudge him... Anyways, let's assume you are right. Winnipeg doesn't have a problem with Kane and even if we did, people from Toronto really should shut their mouths. I will forward you concerns.

Many more conversely might be willing to give a 21 year old some time to mature. Most rational adults that I interact with don't concern themselves with Kane's daily personal life away from the rink. Not sure where I suggested a poll, either? I conversely suggested that the blanket statement that "fans just don't like him" probably shouldn't be made by someone that doesn't even live here. There you go incorrectly paraphrasing again.

The most recent article on that blog concerning Kane did suggest fans don't like him and that the local press will run him out of town, and the article prior to that one inferred that local critiques of Kane were driven by race, so I'll just defer to your own description of the blog's quality.

I am one of those people, but I am not deluded. There are a lot of people across many demographic groups that are frustrated with Kane and his perceived attitude. Vocal minority or not, that perception exists. National media has talked about it. Local media has talked about it and Kane has been forced to answer questions about it. It is an issue and it does exist.

Kane has been attacked by the media and racist idiots. If we broke that news to him and scared him off, my apologies.
Wheeler with the EN goal for his one and only point. Stastny already left Germany for a week off in Denver. Looks like Wheeler is missing somebody to pass to .
He will travel to Minneapolis and Winnipeg (if I am correct) to spend some time with his family. If I am interpreting his tweets with Stapleton right, they'll see each other in Winnipeg or something like that. They really have a crush on each other Their tweets are hilarious sometimes. Wheeler will be back in Munich in about a week.
Did you knew that Stapleton is tied for 3rd place in goals in the KHL? Alongside with Ovechkin, Malkin and Radulov. No kidding.

Stapler is shredding it in the K but my understanding is his teammates Pavelski and Rinne might be leaving now (or have left) which will be pretty tough on the team and Tim.
If Team USA has Wheeler, Bogo, Buff and Slater on this yr's WC entry, and Timmy Stapes, I just might have to cheer for the US squad (in games not against Canada, of course).

I just hope he is actually taking it seriously...you are down there playing by choice, nobody is forcing you to be there...I know from a reliable source that one particular NHLer that was playing in the ECHL was attending less than 50% of the practices, showing up only when he wanted to, only doing the drills he wanted to, not trying at all in any aspect, not having any respect for his teammates, etc...disgraceful

I can't imagine the winner of the Dan Snyder Memorial Award doing anything like that though!

Stuart took a hard slide into the boards on a diving poke check and was slow to get up. He had me worried for a minute, he was out on his next shift though.
He made some huge hits on some of the poor little ECHL guys, I couldn't help but laugh at how unfair it was.

Glads win?
Edit: Never mind. Just looked it up. 4-3 win for the Glads in OT. Looks like they kept Mark off the scoresheet.
Too bad Thor didn't play for Gwinnett!

I can't imagine Mark Stuart doing that, but if some NHL player is doing that...it's a ****** thing too do. The players in that league look up to the NHLers that choose to play there.

I agree. That would be incredibly un-stuart like to do.
