Hurricanes did not deserve to be in this game. Just looked flat and had nothing going for them all night. Not sure how they came to the shots number as it was completely shocking for me to see that. Lethbridge might have had 5 solid scoring chances. Sloppy passes, positioning and a terrible second goal on Rimmer just didn't allow them to be in the game at all.

I dont know, I thought Brossoit was very good. Lethbridge had their chances. They outplayed the Oil Kings in the first period for sure. They got ripped off on the disallowed goal and then on a penalty called against them right after that. Quality of the officiating this year in the dub has been terrible.
It's nice to see that the boys have gotten it together after the less than stellar start to the season, even despite the injury woes and Reinhart's long absence. Hopefully we can see this team go all the way this time around.
I really need to get out to more games. I've only made it to the season opener against Kootenay and a game against Moose Jaw so far.
Great game by L.B.!! Nice to see th team keep on rolling with as many guys missing right now. Bob Green has built some great depth into this team. Could be losing a fair amount of talent next year but the 2 call ups on D got a good feel of what they have to work for and I'm sure they have some good forward talent on the way up.
Corbett opens the scoring on the PP two minutes in against the Giants. This could be an ugly one for Vancouver with the Oil Kings hitting their stride.
The Oil Kings defeated the Giants 5-0 to pull 3 points clear of the Hitmen for first in the division.
Moroz and former teammate Mason Geertsen dropped the gloves on two separate occasions tonight. That would have been fun to watch.
Nice to see Moroz getting more engaged physically and honing his craft. Geertsen IIRC is younger but bigger and a tough kid. It'll be interesting to see video of the scraps.
What was the Ewanyk/Orban 10 minute misconduct for?
There was already two fights going on and they locked up and started to tussle to make a third altercation. There was a lot going on at once so it was hard to keep track but I believe once a fight starts you are supposed to leave the zone or something like that. Maybe that is what they gave the misconduct for.
Was kind of a boring game until all that stuff happened. You could tell early on that Geertsen was looking to make a statement. You knew he was going to get into it with Moroz eventually, and they didnt disappoint.
Oil Kings are going to kick themselves for trading him away. Mark my words.
Great little scrap but I'm sorry I don't see the point of that, by young kids no less, in a supposed professional sport. I love action movies, scraps n **** as much as the next guy but to me its just more senseless violence and nothing else. Wish it would stop. IMHO. Otherwise loved the game and listened to it on the radio once again. Guess Corey wasn't exaggerating about that tilt at all.
