Doaner is at the meetings now. Should be good! He seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

Alan Walsh now there's someone who's word I really believe!!! I thought teams weren't allowed to talk to players about CBA during lockout?? Even if he is correct, so what. It's the owners job to make a CBA. It's the Executive's job to run a team under one.

Doan has been with Don Fehr the entire time, as part of the negotiating team. I am embarrassed by that. He should know better than to associate himself with that clown.

Its crunch time and the blame game is picking up more and more as we come closer to having the NHL cancel the whole season. Well, at least the NFL Playoffs are here.

This. I can't wait for the Washington/Seattle game this coming weekend. That game could be great.

It's after the playoffs that I'm dreading. I've been able to cope with the lack of an NHL season by being immersed in college and pro football but once that's over I'm not sure what the hell I'm going to do with myself. I seriously can't believe the NHL is likely going to cancel a whole season again, what the **** is wrong with these guys (all of them, players and owners)?!

No shortage of "will" to get a deal done, however, I'm told PA vets, Shane Doan and Marty St Louis are very focused on the end game.

Oh hells yes, 2013 is looking up already.
I'm also happy it's a 10yr agreement so it will be a decade at least before we have to deal with this crap again!

Now if Jamison can just get the ownership thing wrapped up I will be one seriously happy Coyote fan. Opening night, here I come baby!!!!

Here's some quotes from bettman and Fehr via Elliotte Friedman's Twitter:

https://twitter.com/FriedgeHNIC

Fehr: hopefully fans get back to people who are skating and not the two of us

Bettman: still a lot of work to be done, but framework is complete. Not in a position to talk about schedule, maybe more on that later Sunday.

And to top it all off here's a picture of Bettman talking with our favorite captain after the meeting ended arounf 5:30 am New York Time.

Doan just spoke on TSN. Overall just happy that it's over. McKenzie says Doan was a moderate and a calming factor in the room and likely played a key role.

Bettman and Fehr CBA press conference. It's pretty surreal seeing those two standing together. It's like seeing Harry Potter and Voldemort or Batman and Bane just hangin' out together or somethin.

So happy this is finally done. I miss the NHL. Now let's get a deal done to keep the team in Arizona!
