I know you did in the numbers, but for people who dont follow contracts as closely, you had titles like without ballard, with lou, without lou, i just expected mention you speculated on the edler raise as well.
Guess not a big deal.

Surprised that they agreed to the 7/8 split. I figured they would have settled for 7/7 but if I had to guess I would say the NHL got what they wanted on the variance front.
The NHL got the CBA length they wanted while the PA got the contract length and the upper limit they wanted throughout the day.
Looks like the NHL got the variance split the way they wanted. The year to year percentage is 35% but no year can be lower than 50% of the highest year which all but eliminates front loaded deals.

It's pretty perfect
Wonder if there are any terms for the current circumvention contract though.
so is Luongo's front loading back diving contract grandfathered or what? Are the Canucks going to be punished even if he is traded what are the terms on the 15 or so contracts that are front loaded?
Are the environmentalist bike laners in Vancouver who get mad at players for hunting going to be mad at Mason Raymond for flying all the way to Sweden on an airplane only to play 2 games?

I think Letang flew to Russia and didn't even play a game. Could be wrong.
