Can't wait to see what the details are. Particularly compliance buyouts and what the salary cap will be set to in 2013-2014.

In the mean time, I intend to get extremely ****faced to celebrate.

Yeah, he's been given grief on Twitter, but he said more that it was possible than it was absolutely going to happen. He said "could."

The two amnesty buyouts are in, but it looks like if you buy a player out, the buyout must be for 2/3rds of the contract.

Pricey.

The point was that when it was obvious the lockout was within 48 hours of ending, he said that the season was within 48 hours of ending.

So now how long until Subban, Kulikov, and Bobby Ryan are playing for the Flyers..... only a matter of time right?

It will be harder to bury one-way deals in the minors under new CBA. This season anything over $900,000 in AHL counts on a team's cap.
paul is a very good GM imo but he can't resist handing out stupid contracts from time to time so this could potentially blow for us.

In coming years, he has to re-sign Giroux, Coots, and Schenn. He won't have the room for it.

Thinking about Wade Redden, I like this rule. Have fun Rangers!

Does this count for THIS season?

i don't know if it goes into effect this season or if there is some sort of grandfathering exception.

That was in a previous offer. I'm sure once someone from TSN or CBC wakes up, they'll outline it.

This deal is very similar to the deal that the NHL went into a frenzy about in early December.

I predict Redden will suddenly contract a mysterious virus

In all seriousness thank God this circus is finally over.

It took a mediator meeting both sides in seperate buildings to get this thing done.
buy season tickets to whatever team that guy wants. Without him we are likely headed twords a year without NHL hockey.

Now also wonder if there is a bonus cushion for the cap. So much information to get before training camps start. Going to be a lot of fun when I am done work getting all the info.
