Wohooooo!!
Finally.
Is it bad that I just realized that Succo is still our coach and that we play mostly in-division and only inter-conference games this year.
Is it too soon to get all negative (especially if you factor in The Factor situation) ?

IDK, is the nine game tryout still in effect despite the late season?

well if we suck 2 good things happen... 1. Sacco would get canned 2. we'd get a high draft pick.

Why are you confident that Sacco would let go? If the team had wanted to move in another direction they would have fired him long ago, or not re-extended his contract. If he busts this season then it'll be attributed to the shortened season. Next season may be his raison d'être, but even that is questionable.

Even in a shortened season, if we were bad enough to be drafting top 5, I don't see how they could keep him around.
Ultimately the team wants to make money, they are going to have a tough enough time selling tickets as is this season, if they really suck they aren't going to make money, somebody will take the blame and Sacco has been given a pass already once for bad performance, he won't survive again. He has to win now.

I can't believe how cheap Stan is, he'll only get the biggest one in the league, if he cared he'd buy the biggest one in the world.

No question target is 50-game, not 48-game, season. Speculation is it would be 5 games vs 4 division rivals and 3 games vs 10 Conf rivals.

How the Pepsi Centre seats aren't comfortable for his extra large rear section.

I could see this working. But it still sucks a bit that there won't be any games against the other conference.

Toronto Maple Leafs have apparently fired Brian Burke as general manager. Working on official confirmations.
Now we'll never get Bozak.

You'd have thought by now Burke would stop having Nonis hang around.
