Someone made a good point about prearranged trades. I think there will be a lot of announcements once the CBA is ratified.

Maybe TSN should do a special...

And with this comes the first speculation on which owner/gm makes the first fiscally irresponsible acquisition that will set into motion the upcoming new CBA negotiations in 2022

More likely 2020, as there is reportedly an 8 year opt out.

Still, from what I hear (don't see him much), he has had a lot of injuries. I think Zibby straight up for him would be very fair, let alone add a '++' .

Zibby doesn't get a lot of love on the Sens board, but he is going to be a good 2-way power forward in the NHL for a long time.

so basically they can't decide on when the next work stoppage will be. Typical.

NHLPA wanted the opt out. Just in time for the NHL's 100th year. I can't stand the PA.

And Zibanejad hasn't had some injuries since he was drafted (concussion, missed large part of this AHL season...)

Edler, with a contract extension, is worth a hell of a lot more than Zibanejad, who quite frankly has not had the greatest post-draft 2 seasons.

The Luongo trade

I think the Hawks will probably move Frolik as their first trade.

I think the first action will be the Islanders buying out Dipietro in the new "amnesty" clause.

Question for everyone

Do you guys think there will be a frenzy? I think so, I have a feeling your going to see a scramble as it's only 48 games season and teams are going try to get a good start.

Hope it's Luongo to wherever so the speculations can end. For something random maybe something around Hjalmarson(sp?).
