Something doesn't smell right with that report.

Why would Granlund be in warm ups if he was sore and they are willing to rest him for three-in-three.

If Granlund was going to play and soreness in warmups kept him from playing why would they say he will be able to play tomorrow night.

Russo would have to be bonkers to put Fletcher's name on something if Fletcher didn't tell it to him.


I trust Russo's tweet, but we will see if Granlund plays tomorrow.

With Facebook and Twitter these days, if I were a GM, I'd pull a player out of pre-game warmups the day before the trade deadline just to see the chaos it creates.

Would love to do that. Pull your starting goaltender, one of your first line wingers and a top 4 defenseman and sit them. Laugh at the chaos is ensues.

BTW; I posted a thread about Granlund being scratched in the trade thread. I'm going to laugh at the chaos it ensues!

Russo's blog quoted Fletcher saying Granlund was pulled from the lineup due to the likely end of the lockout, and Fletcher didn't want his penciled in 2nd line center for the Wild to get injured.

Fletcher also said he almost pulled MiG-64 from thursday's lineup for the same reason.
