Im not putting any money into this cluster****. I know everyone is excited that they're going to see hockey again, but this deal has done nothing to address the long term issues with this league. See you again in 2020.
Instant gratification for people who bore themselves to death without hockey.

Make me think what the hell were they doing all this time? Staring at a blank screen is one guess

Damn....was really pulling for the NHL to dissolve. Hopefully we miss the playoffs and get the #1 pick to troll the CBA.

Is there a difference from watching it on the couch or at the arena? either way, doesn't the NHL (if its on MSG specifically) get money either way?

Just something I noticed. Don't know if it as that way before this agreement, but NHL Network on my Guide for FIOS states that NHL Tonight will begin on the 14th with the label as "new". Also, NHL Live is set for the first time on the 14th as well. Preview shows. Also, TBA is for the afternoons when they show replays of games from the night before are set for the days following the 15th. Take this with a grain of salt, but the season is going to happen. Thank god.

Seeing the Rangers don't have their own #1 pick since they dealt it to Columbus for Nash, that would suck.

I understand the rule going forward, but I just don't see how they can take a player who's been in our minor league system for years and just place him back on our cap.

I was conducting research on post concussion syndrome and its continuing effect on female mud/jello wrestlers as compared to NHL'ers... Also watched this 1000xs.

The NHL believes the 2013 cap should be less than $70.2M. They are doing clubs a favor with the $70.2M.

Quote:
Payroll Range
We propose to set the 2012/13 Payroll Range on the basis of last season's Actual HRR, using the same methodology as used in the recently expired CBA. While this will result in a reduced Upper Limit for 2012/13, we have also proposed to permit the Clubs to exceed the Payroll Range this year, to a maximum of $70.2 million which was the Cap established prior to this past summer. This will allow a Club that chooses to do so to maintain or enhance its current roster during a full-year transition period.

For what it's worth (Not much, if anything) JT Miller was officially re-assigned to Hartford today

You also don't pay twice to watch a game or help raise the price of tickets.

It won't matter. We have plenty of cap space this year to afford him. He won't play at all this year, either for us or for Hartford and may just opt to terminate his contract. But if he doesn't, he'll get bought out next summer and it won't count against the cap.
