Gonchar to OTT for Kennedy + Jeffrey + dman

Do you guys have any idea what our blueline looks like right now ?

Here I'll show you:

Karlsson-Methot
Phillips-Gonchar
Lundin-Boroweicki

Translation:

Superstar-Complete Unknown
3rd Pairing Dman-Offensive 2nd pairing dman
AHL dman-AHL dman

And you want us to trade our 2nd best defenseman?

Really?

My guess, the groundbreaking deal of Montreal sending Brendon Nash to Florida for Jason DeSantis. Mainly because the deal already basically happened as they were swapped between AHL teams this week. Now, it may not actually go down, but I figure it's a decent guess.

I will cut my left arm off if Kadri is traded for something worthwhile(Luongo). His attitude couldn't get worse and that makes him undesirable.

Anyways, the first major trade is almost certainly going to be the Luongo one, however I think we might see a flurry of minor pieces moving around.

You're not going to see trades right away...you'll see exemption cuts first. Who knows when the first trade will be.

Edler, with a contract extension, is worth a hell of a lot more than Zibanejad, who quite frankly has not had the greatest post-draft 2 seasons.
True dat, although he has huge upside, and that does count for something, and he's a pretty sure bet to be an NHLer.

LOL I actually do think that is the best spot for him.

No thanks (depending who the dman is).

No thanks big time. Silf is going to be in our top 6, and is playing very well this year. He would have been Spezza's winger last year, had he not gone back to honour the last year with his SEL team.

Do you mean compliance buyouts? I don't think those will be happening until the offseason.

Malkin to LA reference FTW.

I think Vancouver will keep Lou for a little while, can't see him being the first trade. I think it'll be a minor deal.

Did you actually think a Leaf fan would want Stajan back? Thats the desire of fans who like seeing the Leafs as bottomfeeders, not those who like the Leafs.

Have GMs been able to talk this whole time and "unofficially" cut some deals...or at least frame works for some? If so, there could be an interesting flurry as soon as it's ratified.

2 each year for the first 2 from what I'm understanding...so that's this year and next. Plus we're still in the "offseason" technically. Haha.

Zibby doesn't get a lot of love on the Sens board, but he is going to be a good 2-way power forward in the NHL for a long time.
Mabe "Zibby" if he wont sign with the Canucks, but if it's a singed edler he is worth a hell of a lot more. He is a top 30-35 defenseman in his prime

I'm not sure I agree. GM's have had plenty of time to talk around and figure out potential deals. With the season rushing forward, I think GM's will like to make whatever moves they desire as quick as possible to get the players situated

I believe so. As it's been reported by Josh Rimer that the Luongo to TOR deal is done and just waiting for official CBA

Wilson from the avs to the habs for a pick ? IMO Habs need a physical dman on the back end.

Though, we'll probably get O'Brien.

Luongo to Toronto. The price will be slightly higher than what most people expect it to be, but Lupul, Riely, first round picks, Kessel, JVR and Dion won't be going anywhere.

I think Luongo will be gone first probably to Toronto, Florida or Chicago but i hope the Penguins can get Sergei Gonchar back and trade Strait for a 3rd or 4th round pick or a decent forward prospect.

Yes, because we desperately wanna see Stajan back in Toronto. Crazy Leafs fans thinking they can get every mediocre player in the league!

Craig Adams goes back to Carolina for a 2013 7th round draft pick.
