First topic I read this morning. Sweet. Hopefully they extend the season into the normal offseason to give us more games.

So excited to see following (hopefully):
1. Landeskog wearing the 'C'
2. EJ establishing himself as as a top defenceman
3. Barrie pulling a Shattenkirk
4. Varlamov bringing his confidence from Russia
5. Which one of the three centers is the most productive this year

So Im going back through my twitter this morning, and Im seeing that Dater was actally the first person to break the Deal....

Is this real life? Did Dater actually break the biggest news since the last lockout?

Lol Dater broke this story before tsn.

Maybe it will be a good year for the Avs.

I bet it will be Tuesday or Wednesday. If the season starts mid next week, you'd probably want to have a camp at least a week out, I expect players to start coming in today.

this is awesome, now we might finally see an end to those ridiculous "lifetime" contracts. 7 year cap and salary restrictions should help eliminate them but some teams will still figure out a way to circumvent the system.

As one of the season ticket holders who stuck around, I'll be really disappointed if the Avs don't pony up and give us a bunch of free ****.

Just glad to have hockey back. If training camp starts this week, I'll take a day off to go check it out.

No, Pierre Lebrun of TSN was first.

Not according to my twitter account. MacKenzie retweeted the news from Dater 3 minutes before LeBrun or anyone else.

Not a big fan of Daters but gotta give credit where credit is due.

Of course, Hockey ******** called this days ago...lucky or extremely connected??

In addition to this, I'm looking forward to seeing:
6. P-A Parenteau make his debut with the Avs (probably on a line with Duchene)
7. Duchene re-establishing himself as one of the top young guns in the game making anyone who thought "we should trade him" look like a braindead retard
8. Hejduk finds his scoring touch again without the pressure of being the captain
9. Zanon plays solid yet unspectacular minutes for the Avs surprising most

Are any Avs playing overseas injured?

I know Varlamov had knee injury but he came back.
