My guess, the groundbreaking deal of Montreal sending Brendon Nash to Florida for Jason DeSantis. Mainly because the deal already basically happened as they were swapped between AHL teams this week. Now, it may not actually go down, but I figure it's a decent guess.
I think the first action will be the Islanders buying out Dipietro in the new "amnesty" clause.
- Each team will be allowed two amnesty buyouts that can be used to terminate contracts after this season and next season. The buyouts will count against the players' overall share in revenues, but not the team's salary cap.
You're not going to see trades right away...you'll see exemption cuts first. Who knows when the first trade will be.
I'm not sure I agree. GM's have had plenty of time to talk around and figure out potential deals. With the season rushing forward, I think GM's will like to make whatever moves they desire as quick as possible to get the players situated
