RFAs that need to be signed

With a new CBA in place, negotiations with current RFAs need to be accelerated. Who are the RFAs that are still out there, and what do we think their contracts will look like?

off the top of my head..

P.K. Subban
Jamie Benn
Ryan O'Reilly

Hopefully no more than 3-4 years for Subban.

They have 1.3 million then you put Savard on LTIR and buy him out at the end of the season and your all set

I can't see PK leaving Montreal, especially to such a big division rival.

Chara-Subban for a couple of years? Ouch. Hamilton-Subban for more than a decade? OUCH.

As per @tpanotchCSN #NHL dep.commish Bill Daly confirmed compliance buyouts cannot be used for players on LTIR (Chris Pronger, Marc Savard).

Why would you want to waste a buyout on a player who is going to be on LTIR and won't count against your cap during the season anyway?

What happens if they can't agree a deal on those RFA's, do they then become UFA's?

Are there any changes reported in the new CBA re: ELCs or RFA, i.e. is it still 3 years of ELC, followed by 4 years of RFA? Also, any changes re: RFA offer sheets?

They'd have to wait until turning 27 for that. Four options if team and player can't reach a contract:

1) Player signs offersheet- like Shea Weber
2) Either team or player opt for arbitration (though not every player is arbitration-eligible and I don't know how it works in the new CBA)-like Shea Weber or Dustin Penner
3) Team trades player -like Phil Kessel
4) Player bolts to Europe and waits until he's old enough to be UFA eligible. - like Ryan O'Reilly

Still wouldn't be able to sign him during the summer cap.

Why would you since you have Pietra as your #1 and Shattenkirk as your #2?
