so are Yakupov and Tarasenko 1a and 1b prospects? how is the tie broken?

Watching the highlights from last year's WJC, Kuznetsov and Tarasenko both seem so much more dynamic than Yakupov, in terms of using their teammates and making smart plays.

Age could play a factor. People have to remember that Yakupov is two years behind Tarasenko.

doesnt necissarily make him better, i would assume most people factored in the age difference when making their choice

You've obviously only watched sample sizes of Yakupov at SS and wjc but if you watched him in Sarnia or more importantly in the KHL he is a very good playmaker that uses his teammates quite well. I think personally the pressure of being the Russian Captain got to him at the wjc but he still put up decent PTS.

That being said, Tarasanko is older and a more mature player who is very good. It really could be a toss up. Also adding in Granlund.

it will be funny to compare the results. Post-WJC over-reactions are always hilarious.

That's probably a fair assessment on both counts.
