Some of those Pierce touches have been to keep Rice healthy for the playoffs.

This is easily the most boring wild card weekend I can think of in recent memory. That's with 2 of the games being very close.

Pierce has been more effective runner overall this year if I recall

Rice gets headlines but Pierce from what I recall has been every bit as good with half the touches

While it's true Rice has fumbled twice in this game, it's very uncharacteristic for him. In 5 seasons and 1527 touches, he has only fumbled 7 times, and lost 6 of them. That seems pretty solid to me.

wanted the Colts to win, but if Emery wants Arians and Arians wants this job... the faster we have the HC we want the better.

I agree, these games have been awful up to this point. I haven't finished a game yet, I can't remember the last time that ever happened in the playoffs where I didn't watch 1 full game. The first game I shut off at halftime and went and got food. Second game I shut off at half time and played some halo. Fell asleep during the noon game today. There's still hope for this last game, I suppose.

Shanahan absolutely deserves to be ripped apart in media for this

RGIII has been shell of himself and needed to be pulled

RGIII just badly injured his knee more

As a fan, I want RGIII in.

As a coach, I put Cousins in.

RGIII should have been sat much earlier so that Cousins could attempt to get a feel for the game earlier instead of just for that "last" drive right there. You could tell his knee was injured, and he even left the field in the 1st half. He should have been pulled for the rest of the game at that point.

Two seasons ago, Cutler was "soft" and "not a competitor" for being pulled in the NFC Championship game with a Grade II MCL Sprain. This year RGIII and his coaching staff are being ripped and called "stupid" for having RGIII play through it.

So which is it? All these double standards are really confusing to me.

Good point but it's a little different with being a rookie and his high draft.

The other thing is was against doctor suggestion.

THIS!

Cutler can't do anything right because people don't like his, I don't care attitude. Which is stupid because he clearly does care but because people assume he doesn't he gets attacked for it.

Shannahan handled RGIII badly all year. His playbook often put RGIII in dangerous spots, he played him hurt more then once, he basically rode him until he broke.

People need to realize college ain't the NFL, in college guys can get away with running all the time because not everyone is a freak athlete with bad intentions. It's why the option and other gimmick offenses don't work in the NFL, most defenders are big, strong, fast and smart people who can get to a guy and deliver a big hit when he gets there. Yes having an athletic QB is great but you have to be smart about it.

Really hoping the 49ers can beat the Packers this week. Don't want to see them in another Superbowl.
