If KC can get to near .500 next year, I think they will be heading in the right direction. But first, they need an OC and a QB and gameplan around Jamaal Charles
Their defense does have talent, which is good because Reid terrible at drafting defensive players. But as far as Charles goes, ill give it one season until he demands a trade...

Not to split hairs, but they won three championships (1948, 1949 and 1960).

Carry on.

Reid will have to accept the fact he will need to run the ball, winter in KC isn't exactly passer friendly

The weather around here can be bad too in the winter, and even with Shady McCoy and Bryce Brown he still had his rookie Qb throw it 50 times . He is a passaholic and has been for all 14 years he coach here, and I dont see that changing.

gonna need a QB first and I don't think it's fair to compare the three backs, but I hope you're wrong

Keeping him in almost certainly cost them the game. griffin was useless even before he went down.

They were screwed either way today, but keeping him in may have done a lot more long-term damage.

The Shanahans can't get through a year without doing something mind-blowingly stupid. This game was it.

read that kc cheifs next gm

is coming from greenbay. the qb they are supposedly looking at is matt flynn. price a couple mid round picks. and a qb in the 2nd round. so they are going d, in round 1. pending the combine it looks like jones or star lotulelei. so andy is more of a 4-3 guy. poe-star-dorsey-jackson is a pretty crazy d line. or justin houston and another bulldog pass rusher like jarvis jones, would make things very unhospitable for p. manning.

Russell Wilson has more playoff wins than Matt Ryan.

Not surprising, really. He's got no NFL background, and he's got all the power and money he could desire in Oregon. Maybe he'll make the jump, but after reading some more about it I wouldn't be surprised if he never did. They have a hell of a sugar daddy in the Nike founder there, so he'll never have to worry about the money for his program. And if he keeps winning, he's got job security for life in the college ranks, as opposed to the NFL. A bit disappointing, but oh well.

I'm intrigued by the prospect of McCoy, to be honest. Anyone who can make Jake Delhomme and Tim Tebow into winning QBs has talent. And hopefully he can hire a competent DC and let them run the show like Reid originally did with Jim Johnson.

I wonder if Romeo Crennel would give it one last whirl as DC.

romeo crennel

would be 1 guy i would strongly consider for dc for the eagles. would he be available, i would sure think so. but i wouldnt put it past new england to talk to him this offseason. but new england has switched to a 4-3 hybrid, romeo is a 3-4 guy. but the one area of a teams defense that he would greatly improve would be the defensive backfield. and he operates in zone a fair bit and man to man, not that much. being an old giants, jets, cleveland browns, new england pat, almost everywhere bb has coached would build close family ties to new england., but his style of coaching d has not changed, where as bb has. he has gone 4-3 and mostly man, and romeo is a 3-4,zone guy. are the eagles able to switch to a 3-4. with the eagles defense loaded with pretty good quality d-linemen, would be more suitable for a 4-3. but the big trick to switching to 3-4 is their a 4-3 de that can move to 3-4 olb, so can vinny curry, graham and such be able to develop into an elephant be a mike vrabel or willie mcginnest in the 3-4, if they can, then i highly reccommend romeo crennel.

I don't particularly like any of the candidates that are left. If forced to pick, I think Bruce Arians is the most known commodity.

As long as Howie Roseman is the great football mind drafting players, wtf does it matter who the coach is?

I say eagles should fly to Alabama, and do whatever it takes to get NIck as eagles head coach, and basically make him the man in charge of all football decisions.

The guy knows how to get O line, D line, running game.

He is good,

I would pay him whatever he wants even higher the sean payton.

He didn't do so well when he was a head coach before IIRC....

And as if he'd leave Alabama....
