NHL Network - On The Fly

If you didn't watch NHL On The Fly, you missed a funny comment by Neil Smith. They were discussing the Comrie situation. Neil Smith said if he were GM, he would tell Comrie to go find a new vocation. They talked about players coming off entry-level contracts only have the right to a 10% increase. Smith said that Comrie and his agent didn't want to play with those rules. Smith said there's lots of snow in Edmonton and Comrie should go shovel snow.

Does Neil Smith have any ambition to return as a GM? He won a cup with the Rangers way back when.. and it seems a lot of people (not me, but I know a bunch of people) are reading to ship Lowe to the curb. At least we'd get somebody funny and likeable as a new GM.

Smith was close to getting the Leafs job. However, I think that Lowe will not be fired any time soon.
