Along that line, do the lockout buyout players get buyout now? Or does that wait until next offseason? Are there any potentially bought out players that could interest the Wild?
Let's pick up Eric or Jack Johnson. Columbus or Colorado aren't in the market for a goalie are they?

I traded him for a 2nd round pick in NHL13, think we can get that for him? And yes be prepared for a lot of NHL13 comparisons/jokes for a little while from me.

Seriously though, trade him and let's try and get another dman, though I hope he's at least under 35.

Probably the wisest and most likely trade idea I've heard in awhile..

He's our only good trade piece(that Fletch would move/we would want to move) as far as roster players that could snag us a #4 dman..now who would that be is the question.

I thank Doug Reisbrough gifting us the legendary AJ Thelen.

Yannick Weber ? Puck mover could be cheap... Or Diaz.. Would be good to have another puck mover...

Maybe we make a trade with the leafs... They have a few D..

FWIW there are rumors (between Russo and Bobby Mac) that Dumba will be invited to the camp to potentially play due to the lack of D-men. Assuming they would give him (max) nine games. Very odd.

Yikes, that'd be a brutal trade for the Wild if it's only for Martin.

Either way, I really don't want him especially on the top pairing. He isn't that good...

love the idea of bringing him to camp, hopefully it would give him a little confidence boost after getting cut from the WJC team.

Not sure I like the idea of him playing any games though.

look at it this way, 9 games is almost 1/5th of the season....

Bringing Dumba into camp couldn't hurt but i would be a little sketched out if he started with the club this season.

Fletch will give him a look, as he should. If he impresses at camp, let him get his feet wet.

We should be able to patch this hole internally, without trading for a d-man or messing with Dumba's development. We all saw back in July that he is extremely raw.

Genoway, Kampfer, Cuma, Connelly should all be able to fill in for a month or so.

Connelly is currently banged up as well.

I agree though, I really don't want to see Dumba anywhere near the NHL roster this year. The kid is already disappointed for not making Canada's WJ team this year, and getting roughed up and looking like a fool in the NHL is just going to shatter any confidence he has left.

So, remind me why we don't invite Gunnarsson instead of Dumba?
