Aww wtf? Well it was basically an article about the posts that HI was making on Twitter, then someone did some internet sleuthing and claimed HI was a 17 year old high school student. HI then fired back with a bunch of a tweets about how rich he is or something. Then went on a podcast with Incarcerated Bob and claimed he was drafted in 1993 and all these facts that would insinuate that he was Alexander Daigle.

Did a little write up on the Blue Jackets.

They'll be a good team in a few years. Be sure to follow them

They've been saying that for the past 5 years. "Keep your eye on the Blue Jackets, this could be the year the finally break out!!!!" Trading away Nash isn't going to help their chances

I hope to see them start doing well in the near future. I like some of their players and prospects such as Johansen, Johnson, Moore, Bobrovsky, Dansk, Tynan, Jenner, and Murray.

That did happen and it was pretty awesome.

If they fire Howson, maybe.

I've seen a lot of people lump them in with Phoenix because their attendance has been low. They had several sellout years close to 19k in attendance. That could be a real moneymaking market for the NHL if they'd get their crap together.

Beef nails it with his first sentence.

Trading the way howson does is killing their team, but he was forced to trade Nash and carter pretty much.

Get howson out and get a GM to bring in a new scouting staff and fix the franchise. 3 1sts in this draft would help the team immensely in 2-3 years

I'd say trading Nash helps their chances. They never had depth, but still had some decent players, and the Central Division isn't good.

I agree. I think they had to trade Nash. Whether they got enough for him is a different story.

Nice write-up. I actually think they'll be in the mix for an 8th seed this season, but probably fall short. I'd love to see a line of Foligno - Dubinsky - Umberger, it could become the hardest line in the NHL to play against. I'll be rooting for them in the West. I love Nash, but trading him really balanced the team out.

I can't figure out why Howson is still employed. I much prefer complaining about asset management and cap mistakes while we sign good players, as opposed to complaining about near-total failure.

I'd like to be a fly on the wall in his office leading up to the trade deadline with John Davidson and Craig Patrick looking over his shoulder. Figure it'd look something like:

You don't think the Central division is that good? Detroit, Chicago, Nashville, St. Louis are all playoff teams? They are all arguably cup contenders. I'd argue that aside from the Atlantic they are the best division in hockey.

I'd say the Atlantic and Central are roughly equal. 4 good teams and one punching bag.

Hard to know what Detroit is going to be like this year.

Holmstrom is retiring. Lidstrom is gone. Their D is just as questionable as ours but we more offense.

Nashville may suffer with no Suter.

St Louis will probably win the division this year

Chicago is on the border of missing the playoffs

It's an overrated division really

Central is bad. It actually wouldn't surprise me of Columbus won it. Brian Elliott will not post another .940 save percentage year. They better hope Halak does, even though he still had a good year, too.

It's a muddling up of a bunch of okay teams. In the playoffs they were dispatched with relative ease.

Maybe we can help the Blue Jackets by beating the Rangers every time we play them this year.

Yeah, probably. Someone on the KHL board mentioned that the Islanders' twitter confirmed it, but I can't find anything of that nature now. I see Bleacher Report had an article saying in the title that he's not coming to the NHL this season, but with their credibility I guess that means he is.

edit: It seems one of the Islanders' beat reporters floated the "news".

I hope Visnovsky decides to "retire" if the Isles try and force him back.

McKenzie tweeting that he's hearing rumors of Kovalchuk staying in Russia as well. Nothing confirmed, just rumors.

We all know there's an agreement between the KHL and NHL that players under contract must return to the states. But is it a legal, binding agreement or just a gentlemen's understanding? Could they take these battles to court if they try and stay in Russia? What are the options of NHL teams if they do not return?
