Highly doubtful. He still needs to get his offensive together in the AHL.

Depends on who you ask. Most people would probably say that we can't give up Clowe without getting a top-6 forward back.

I'd do Dumoulin, Kennedy, and your first, since I'm giving up on this season.

Vlasic-Burns
Stuart-Boyle
Murray-Braun
Demers

Niemi
Greiss

Who will fill the 4th line LW spot? Who gets bought out?
I don't think there are any buyouts allowed now. Be nice if we could.

Probably Sheppard. However, Id still like to see a deal for more scoring depth which I still believe we need. Probably need to have a cap dump going the other way (Murray and or Handzus).

Marleau-Thornton-Pavelski
Clowe-Couture-Havlat
Galiardi-40 point center-40 point winger
Wingels-Desjardins-Burish
Sheppard/Handzus

On D i really think if they are all healthy that Murray is the odd man out and is gone sometime this year;

Vlasic-Boyle
Stuart-Burns
Demers-Braun
Murray

Nemo will play allot. I think Stalock will see get his first start(s) this season;

Niemi
Greiss

You get one in 13/14 and one in 14/15. From what I've read at the Business board.

I've read that there will be two periods but you can buy them out simultaneously or separately.

Was there any truth to the Sergei Samsonov trying out for the team rumor? I think he'd actually be a pretty good addition. Though, really, a monkey with a really accurate shot would be a good addition to that bottom six.

Could we take Martin out and use a pick or prospect instead?

Ridicule me to hell.

You want Clowe, i want Sutter.

Murray for Kennedy has been called quite even from both teams.

I'd do this one for sure. I like Kennedy, he'd be a great addition.

Camp will be short, and he's been off for another x months and he's not played in how long? At this point he'd need a PTO, at the AHL level to get in shape for the playoffs if we make it.

I'd rather get obtain a decent 2nd/3rd liner that can currently play. Lets just get a better, more current and reliable player.

Honestly I think the Sharks should save their players and assets and sign Dominic Moore to a one year contract - that is assuming he wants to play... I know his wife has cancer.

She sadly passed away yesterday(I think it was yesterday). Really devastating. Can't imagine what he's going through right now.

Im surprised there isn't more coverage on this in the hockey media. The only "source" I could find is Jim Vandermeer's wife who tweeted about it.

Hey guys So glad hockey is back! With the new season all being in conference, it's even more fun for me to root for two teams passionately knowing they can only play the finals lol.

Anyway, what's the Sharks projected lineup looking like?

I thought Demers was out 4-6 weeks with a broken wrist? Probably Irwin who would fill in for him if he misses time.

I thought I read something soon after that saying that Demers' injury isn't that bad and he won't miss anywhere close to 4-6 weeks.

Since I'm at a computer I guess I can use google...

Demers said he is about one-third of the way through a three-week recovery period and should not miss too much, if any, NHL action.
Quote:
Two other Sharks defenseman also may have injury issues. Justin Braun hurt his wrist playing in Europe while Brent Burns is said to be dealing with the aftermath of off-season groin surgery. Braun was not at Sharks Ice, and though Burns did skate Monday, he managed to disappear before anybody could get an update.

No matter what we are probably going to see some interesting hockey for a few weeks til these guys get their legs under them.

Jeez playing a few games potentially without Braun, Demers and Burns at 100% doesn't bode too well for Niemi..

They'll be fine. They'll only have to play one non NHL level D-man and they can limit his minutes if he even struggles until guys get healthy which will probably only be 3 or 4 games. The reality is that an AHL call up will most likely be more polished that many of the NHL d-men because they've been playing game conditions for a few months already.

With this new trading of salary rule, are there any soon to be UFAs this season or next that would be worth trading assets for at a reduced cap hit?
