This is more believable than Luongo to Toronto. Lou will stay away from the pressure cooker and will reestablish himself as a top 3-5 goalie with Florida's defensive hockey and low pressure.
Tim Thomas would do fine with the Leafs as he actually feeds off pressure.

Why do people completely ignore the fact that a)Florida is on a tight budget and b)has a pretty damn good goalie prospect already. Miami makes sense for Roberto personally, but on every other level is does not. You can sell the idea of his contract being decent to larger more profitable markets i.e Toronto,Edmonton etc but not Miami where they can't even give tickets away.

The real question is why did CGY give him that contract and why did CGY trade away a top young Dman in the league for basically a bunch of scrubs. Not to dig up the past but that deal goes down as one of the most lopsided deals in CGY history. Terrible deal. T.O definitely walked away from that saying no takesiebacksies
the fact we have heard nothing gives me the impression the deal to TO is done and that they are just waiting for the CBA to be signed for the Luongo trade
