It would definitely get people talking. The source isn't the best, but from the report of "this Raw will get people talking" AND The Rock's interview this past week saying the build to his WM match starts this Monday against "someone I can't say right now", it just makes too much sense.
Plus, Jason Powell is actually very credible himself. He's no Dave Meltzer, but Jason Powell was actually the first to break Sheamus winning the rumble in 2012.
I'm torn...
I've been waiting for almost 20 years to see ND win another championship. I might have to put the Rock on the back burner for the night and watch RAW via DVR.
For the first time since Raw 1000, I'm pumped! One, for The Rock, two, for the potential Lesnar appearance!
I almost feel ashamed.. but I will not watch a second of the national title game, even with two power house schools, because The Rock and possibly Lesnar might be there.
My love for wrestling is a bit too high for my liking.
Selling my house, so as of last night I'm living with my father. I hope he doesn't mind me hogging the living room for 3 hours tonight. I'm legitimately excited about this Raw, as well as next week.
So if the Rock is going to kick off a feud with Taker, it leaves Cena/HHH/Punk/Lesnar without matches and I am not so sure they would do Punk/HHH and Cena/Lesnar again.
Also, seems a little foolish if they're already getting a Wrestlemania feud going with the Rock when he's got a WWE title match in a couple weeks. It kinda puts the title on the backburner, playing second fiddle YET again.
Rock/Taker would be so ****ing awesome. It's not even close. That would be such a draw. The match, like Hogan/Rock, doesn't even need to be good. The crowd will be white hot.
I really hope that is the direction, but I know it won't.

I don't know about you but I would be so much more pumped for Rock/Taker. Not that I think the match will be amazing, but you know those two guys will give it hell for 25 minutes and have a great time, which for a match like that is all I want. It's the potential for something crazy to happen that would get me hyped up. In years past everybody knew that Taker was going to win, and I still think he would in this case...but I'm not as sure as I was in the past.
The Rock is scheduled for every Raw from now - Post elimination chamber. Like last year, he'd be there every week to build to 'Mania. No problems there. Lesnar still has at least 16 dates on his contract.

With that being said then Brock/Rock could work. He could screw over The Rock at Rumble to help out Heyman/Punk.
Not expecting a huge rating tonight, though. With the competition, I wouldn't expect anything higher than a 2.9, maybe I'll be wrong and The Rock pushes it past 3, but I'm not expecting it tonight. Jan 14 and Jan 21, I'm thinking it'll happen though.
I know many people are interested in the possibility of Brock Lesnar appearing there tonight unannounced, which would definitely give WWE lots of momentum heading to the 20th anniversary of Raw. I'm expecting a big overrun number for tonight's show as well, because people have to be expecting The Rock to be apart of a big angle to close the show (post-TLC match).
If Lesnar's appearing, the final segment to close the show would be ideal. Possibly Punk winning the TLC match, Rock/Punk brawling, The Shield getting involved and attacking Rock/Ryback. The Shield brawls with Ryback to the backstage area and it's left to Rock/Punk with Rock getting the upper hand and about to hit a people's elbow when Brock Lesnar appears and gives The Rock an F-5 to close the show.
- the Royal Rumble has completely sold out. Good news for WWE. DAT ROCK DRAWING!
- Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio is the new storyline over the World Heavyweight Championship. No more Sheamus.
- The ONLY Raw from now until the Raw post Elimination Chamber is the 2/4 edition of Raw, which he's likely to be added to at a later date. The Rock will be at every Raw and make three Smackdown appearances from 1/7 - 2/18.
- By 11:15 PM (ET), the wrestling world will be buzzing and everyone will be talking after Raw tonight. Vince McMahon is in full WrestleMania mode and is looking to make every Raw this month and leading to WrestleMania "stacked". (VM POV: everyone will be talking if Lesnar attacks Rocky )
- Despite working live events, the New Age Outlaws are not likely to be on WWE TV as a regular tag team. Road Dogg will continue working as a road agent and Billy Gunn will continue working in development.
- CM Punk's "Best in the World" documentary is now streaming on Netflix.
- With the increased number of programming in WWE, there won't be much "spring cleaning" releases this year.
- Daniel Bryan did an interview where he said he wants to be known as "The Dazzler" in 2013.
How hard is it for people for record both the BCS game and RAW? You just fast forward through the commercials on one until you are caught up, then you watch the other until you are caught up and alternate. I'll see 90% of both tonight.
