So, remind me why we don't invite Gunnarsson instead of Dumba?
That could be a good idea. Gunnarsson has actually played with men.
Of course, I'm not sure its easy to travel around the world, learn a new style of play on the fly, and then get shipped back when Brodin, Scandella, and Connelly get healthy.
However, Gunnarsson might not be signed to an NHL contract, which would stop that idea right there.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong but I don't think the Wild can since he is under contract in the SEL and not with the Wild. With the new CBA, I don't know if the transfer agreements are the same but I am pretty sure his team or the SEL would now allow him to leave. I believe it would be different if he had been signed to an entry-level contract.

Not sure about SEL, but at least all FEL contracts have an NHL clause.
What do you think it would take to pry a current RFA Dman out of their current team? Talking Subban, Del Zotto, and Kulikov...
Clutterbuck, 1st round, Phillips do it for any or still not enough?
Cap space would be way too tricky for this season, though...
Subban and Kulikov would be too expensive, Del Zotto maybe not so much. Buf if that's the case, I would rather just do Clutterbuck straight up for someone like Liles and keep the 1st and the prospect.
I agree with "providence", getting a Top 4 Dman should be a priority if possible. With 6 young forwards, Zuck--Granny--Bulms--Philly--Larrson--CC, all having their ELC in the same year and having them thus expire at the same time, you cab almost bet something here will have to be shaken up, IMO

They burned a year off of Zucker's last year.
Phillips and probably Larsson are going to be brought along slower than Granlund and Coyle so even though they might expire the same year, they won't be getting similar raises.
Jordan Leopold pique anybody's interest? Haven't seen Buffalo play much the past 2 years, but his numbers are pretty good. Could be a nice short-term solution to the #2 LD opening.

He still has that plagued injury vibe with me, but he's played at least 70 games the past two years. As much as I want to keep Cullen and see him retire here, he's exactly what they're looking for as a bottom 6 center who can win faceoffs and play the PK if needed.
bozak, may i ask whats wrong with seto & mitchell? seto is kinda fast & scores an avg of 20G, mitchell is fast & scores an avg of 10. for a 2nd & 3rd liner i think they fill their roles very well. just my 1 cent.
I think there's better options than Mara, although they're all likely more expensive options. If he's only a fill-in for a few games though until Scandella gets back, I guess I could live with it, although I wouldn't like it all that much.

nothing is "wrong" with them, per se... but most of us have forgotten that mitchell was brought on board because he is best friends with seto. in fact, mitchell was the guy that seto was out late with when San Jose was in town.
If you move (or want to move) Seto, Mitchell goes with him, in my opinion. let the besties be besties together in a trade.
