LOL -- Mourinho leaves Casillas out again and his replacement gets sent off before 5 minutes. Mourinho never celebrated a single goal (that I saw). How badly does he want outta there?

Ronaldo dives for a free kick outside the box and inexplicably puts it in directly over the goalie's head. I don't know how that wasn't saved.

Madristas hate him and he hates them back. As much as teams like Chelsea and Inter needed him because of his results driven philosphy, you simply can't do that at Madrid where there is a long history of attractive soccer.

This whole season might tarnish his reputation permanently.

I agree

Even when we won La Liga last season it was boring to watch

Well, except for Ozil's wonderful passing

Ozil is class. It's unbelievable that he gets second guessed... but hey according to Mourinho Casillas ain't that great.

EDIT: lol at that commercial.

I feel like they are still treating international football as some sort of novelty in American which feels out of step to me, but perhaps I'm the one out of step.

In general I liked the info content even though I didn't learn anything: La Masia's methods and results, the club being member-owned rather than some squijillionaire's toy and touching on the relationship with Catalan nationalism. But I always find 60 Minutes' personal interview questions to be cringe-worthy and they carve up players' responses so you can't even hear what they really said.

I'd be happy to. The entire defense is wrong, don't agree with most of the midfield, but I'll play along:

4-3-3

Iker Casillas - Won La Liga, the Euro and deserves to be there. No problem. I would give an HM to Neuer and Cech
Branislav Ivanovic - Solid RB and even better CB. Integral part of a successful CL campaign.
Vincent Kompany - Best CB in the EPL last season. Captained Man City to the league title.
Giorgio Chiellini - Part of an unbeaten Juve team that won Serie A. Could be Hummels or Silva.
Philipp Lahm - Captained Bayern to CL final. Could make a case for Ashley Cole who saved Chelsea's CL campaign against Napoli or Alba who impressed at the Euros
Juan Mata - MVP of the European champions for crying out loud. Should be worth something.
Yaya Toure - Best DM last season. Won the title
Andres Iniesta - Mostly for his performance at the Euros
Lionel Messi
Radamel Falcao
Cristiano Ronaldo

I'll bite:
(3-4-3)
Iker Casillas - the obvious choice, nearly went for Neuer here, but I think Iker pulls it out.
Vincent Kompany - Led City to the EPL title, EPL MVP, pretty self explanatory
Mats Hummels - Best defender in the Bundesliga, great performance at Euros (besides Italy game)
Sergio Ramos - Great all season long, big part in reclaiming La Liga
Xabi Alonso - Great year for Xabi, another big part in reclaiming La Liga
Andres Iniesta - Maybe his best year yet, though I found his performance at Euros a bit overrated
Andrea Pirlo - I would've given him my Ballon d'Or vote, crazy season, best playmaker in the world IMO
Juan Mata - Excellent season last year, but the way he ended 2012 was other worldly
Cristiano Ronaldo - Probably his best year yet, incredible form all year long, but disappointing at Euros
Lionel Messi - Duh
Radamel Falcao - Maybe the best pure poacher in the world, proved it this year.

Point was there are other obvious choices as to who shouldn't be there. Xabi Alonso being one. Anyway, too much is made out of team honors and correct me if I'm wrong here, but it isn't calendar year 2012 that's to be considered?

GK - I don't know. Casillas for the awards, but I'm not so convinced based on overall performances.
RB - Don't know. Not Dani Alves though.
CB - Hummels
CB - Ramos
LB - Alba
DM - Pirlo
CM - Iniesta/Xavi. Take your pick. Tough for me to say. Probably Iniesta, but IMO it's close.
CM - Toure
ST - Ronaldo
ST - Falcao
ST - Messi

For me it should've been:

GK: Gianlugi Buffon
RB: Branislav Ivanovic
DC: Mats Hummels
DC: Giorgio Chiellini
LB: Phillip Lahm
MC: Andrea Pirlo/Juan Mata
AMR: Lionel Messi/Cristiano Ronaldo
AML: Cristiano Ronaldo/Lionel Messi
AMC: Andres Iniesta
ST: Falco
ST: Didier Drogba/Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Coach: Tite

There's no way Mata should be on that team. Pique actually being named is quite funny as well.

I honestly, like Les Habs 11 better but still not sure about that defense.

Did Ivanovic play RB most of the time? From what I've seen, read, heard he'd probably be my choice of the top of my head. Didn't mention him because I wasn't sure.

I've heard Buffon had a good year, but again didn't see him a lot myself. He and Neuer were the other guys I was thinking of.
