Going to hate eventually being in his division though. Blues should be so good.

so everyone here knows how this year will play out for the Oilers right?

with the recent change that any non playoff team can get 1st overall pick EDM no longer has to be worst 5 team in the league, they have to be worst 14 which they will with some injuries and bad defense.

they will be 14th worst, narrowly missing the playoffs, they will then proceed to win the lottery no thanks to Trollface GM, and get Seth Jones 1st overall...

this will happen you can bet on it

Sergei Fedorov gave me a soft spot for hard working Russians. I do love me some Nichushkin though. He has huge potential.

(In before "huge potential to bolt" or "stay in KHL")

14th worst? jesus you're giving them way too much credit. The Oilers can't dominate the AHL--what makes you think they'll do as well as halfway up the standings in the NHL?

a division with the wild, blues, red wings, and blackhawks has potential for some real fireworks. Can't wait.

I applaud Visnovsky even though I think he will be forced back. Any man who sticks it to Garth Snow not once but twice now gets my gratitude and affection.

I'm not sure about this but after reading some reports from Ottawa, it sounds like Lundin is still injured.

Also, looking at some Sens fans lineup expectations, most of them seem to agree that Gui should play on the 2nd line with Turris and Alfredsson/Silfverberg.

Looking forward to see what he can do in a post-concussion situation.

Seems a bit hasty having Silfverberg penned in for their second line. I guess he's doing okay in Binghamton, but the NHL's much different.

13 goals, 15 assists (28 points) in 32 games.

Not bad.

I'm hearing former #blackhawks #wild #oilers d-man Cam Barker may get a try out at #canucks training camp to earn a 7 or 8 blueline spot.

Cam loves the NW division.

Man. He is really getting around the NW. I'm guessing Colorado before Calgary.

The fact that he can't stick with a team should tell ya something. It's like O'Sullivan. That boy moved around more than a gypsy.

The skill level between the AHL and NHL can be overblown sometimes though. To hear one AHL coach tell it, if the difference between CHL/college hockey and the NHL is the distance between your outstretched arms, the difference between the AHL and NHL is the space between your thumb and index finger.

I'm not saying there's no difference. My guess is it's just as much psychological as it is playing ability, if not more so.

Looks like Kurtis Foster has found a new team.

Flyers perhaps? We will see.
