Tomas Vokoun

Hey Im just wondering why the Blackhawks didnt make an offer for Vokoun this past summer? Do you think he would be a good fit in chicago? He still has a good 2 years in him id say and is cheap.

From what I remembered he had bad hamstring injury and team still believes in Crawford

Also I believe Vokoun had his eyes set on staying in East

If I remember correctly Vokoun never made it to free agency. If he had the Hawks might have taken a look at him, but no one can know for sure.

The Pens traded a 7th for his rights and signed him, so he never made it to offical FA. Washington however had given him permission to shop himself around as soon as their season was over, so we`ll never know, whether the Pens were the only ones talking to him.

Why would they? He was terrible last year, had injuries upon injuries and is as old as dirt.

Agreed, Bowman was ignorant to think Emery is better than Vokoun.

He's not much worse, and is cheaper.

Vokoun is done at this point. Two years ago would have been the time to make a run at him, and back then it wasn't feasible because of his cap hit.
