I don't think it makes sense for the Sens to include Michalek in the deal. Ottawa can't really afford to send away any NHL talent, I realize this makes it hard to get a deal done.

As a Jets fan I'd rather take a gamble on his play and attitude improving over time. I wouldn't cry if he was traded for an acceptable return, but having a talented premadonna at a young age isn't as bad a situation as some make it sound like. As long as he shows up to play.

So, Kane signs a 6 year contract at a reasonable rate, and it's now time to trade him?
If he were to be traded, how would that look to other potential FA's that may want to sign in Winnipeg down the line? I seriously doubt this is going to happen, at least in the short term.
And the whole "there are so many rumours it must be true" angle - given that some or all of those rumours are fabricated, I'm really not sure how that lends credence to the idea that Kane's on the trading block.
