Only one I could possibly see staying is Visnovsky, he didn't want to be in Long Island to begin with, is now playing for his hometown team and is absolutely loved over there. He's in the last years of his career Could see him pulling a Ziggy Palffy retiring and just deciding to stay over there as a "comeback" He'd be barred from playing in the NHL for 2 years but who care's he'd rather be there anyway. Any word on S. Kostitsyn? He had a lot to say about possibly staying earlier in the lockout.
The problem that he that he had with the trade was that he supposedly had a NTC with LA when he signed the deal. He said he would have approved it anyways
Those guys would actually have to sign an offer sheet.
Glenn Sather typically plays hardball with his rfa's. They get more leverage in negotiating and more money. Why wouldn't they sign? The Flyers aren't Winnipeg.

edit : And Visnovsky is slovakian
The point is hes in the KHL and is contemplating staying
Depends how important $3 million (or how ever much) is to him.
Yea vs being in a place he wants to be, his family wants to be and where he is loved. He got a 5 minute standing ovation from the crowd in the last game he played in at the end of the game from a sellout crowd.
I don't see how the NHL and KHL agreement won't force him to return to the NHL.

In a normal situation, i would agree that the agreement would preclude signing a contract, but the lockout allowed him to legally sign with the khl, and it is quite possible that the agreement did not have language to cover this.
To be honest, i think he has every right to stay, as an intellectual matter. The league locked him out, so it seems reasonable that he be given the option to remain with the alternate position he found in the interim.
The IIHF would never sanction the Russians over a case with these kind of ambiguities anyway.

And the lockout contracts came with outclauses for when the NHL started back up.
So, his contract in the KHL should be terminated and he should return to the islanders.
The transfer agreement is put in place to prevent situations like this.
And for your second post :
He will be a FA after this year and is expected to sign. He simply doesn't want to play with the islanders. He made that pretty obvious when he and the PA filed a grievance

And what if his intentions are to not play in the NHL ever again?
