If they were going to trade him they would have done so around the draft weekend or anytime during the summer before he signed a 6 year contract that really favors the team.

However anything is possible and whether it's deserved or not he certainly has developed a bad reputation and given folks a sour taste around Winnipeg off the ice.

Please god make this end

What part of Kane isnt getting traded any time in the near future do people not understand?

I am not saying he will never get traded, but he will spend at least 3-4 years of that contract here

Would Lupul and Gardiner even start the conversation from the Leafs?

No, but it supports them. The fact that the rumour claims he's almost "uncoachable" due to his ego aligns with what I've heard about him from people that grew up with him. It takes a special kind of ass clown to get their house egged...

Seems about right from an outsider. Could be an overpayment in production and for what makes sense for Toronto. Lupul produced similar-ish numbers while Gardiner had a fine rookie year and has a lot of potential. Now I realize that Evander could be great, I just don't see it making sense for Toronto.

Signed,

I'm not saying Kane definitely wants out of Winnipeg.
Just saying that his arrogance/ego can be confirmed by people that knew him before he became a star. Can't see it getting any better after the popularity and money he has received...

Don't get me wrong, I understand what you are saying.

It's just that we've seen multiple threads like this, but there are very little in the way of cold hard facts that indicate he is on the block.

Can he get traded? Sure, anyone can get traded. But the Jets also signed him to a 6 year extension so they would be in the drivers seat of any negotiation.

Maybe something around Krejci for Kane. Not 1 for 1, not sure how to make it even. But I am sure Kane would love hitting the bars with Marchand and Seguin lol.

I think this comment can be applied to most hockey players, especially ones who make the NHL. Doesn't mean much IMO.

Henrique is definitely not untouchable If youre getting Kane... Larsson is debatable because I'm pretty high on him ( value wise) but jersey doesn't trade Larsson for Kane based on team needs

All this stems from Gary Lawless and his irrational hate for Kane. All he ever says on the radio or in print is the Jets are going to trade Kane and hes been wrong time and time again.
