Foster is horrific. If anyone wants him it's because they haven't viewed him before.

Is Kent Huskins a UFA? Remember when Pronger got injured and he stepped up in game 4? He would be a solid bottom pairing addition.

Yeah that argument is getting really old here, we get it you don't like small players.

I guess the Flyers should get rid of that orange smurf Giroux because a poster that's obssessed with a height of a player says that's the way the NHL is moving towards, they should also get rid off Briere as well, you know because small players have a history of not showing up in the playoffs like those pansies Briere, St Louis, Alfredsson, Sullivan, Savard, Cammy etc

Oh an Chicago should get rid of Kane too, I don't think they will manage much or get near the cup with a small guy like Kane.

Alfredsson doesn't belong in that group. He is nowhere near as small as the other guys.

Your troll fu is weak.

My vote goes for Brett Clark - two straight 82 game seasons. Reliable D-man

Just go with youth. Boro or Benoit aren't going to be any worse then those washed up FA scrubs.

Ranger wants to be a Leaf. He grew up a Leaf fan. Signed with the Marlies to try and earn a contract with the Leafs. He lived with my buddy when he went to school at UofO. He's a giant Leaf fan. I don't see him going anywhere else.

Since your buddy lived with him, why did he take off on the Lightning? And why would a guy who has made millions need a roommate?

He said while he was at university they were roommates.

On a side note, I would rather try to get Rundblad back.

Stone should be enough.

Yeah, and Ranger went there after he played for Tampa Bay. That doesn't answer the questions. Why did he quit hockey and why would a guy who has made millions need a roommate? Was he living in a dorm?

If Ranger was attending UoO it stands to reason he was not making millions of dollars at the time he needed a roommate. Most NHLers do not continue going to school while playing hockey.

Ranger didn't like the NHL lifestyle but loved the NHL paycheques. Kid loves popping bottles n **** lol. I think he's back because he needs more money. Not because he missed the NHL lol.

He was living in my buddies basement haha.

Seriously? It would be dumb to trade Stone, he may have the highest offensive potential of all our prospects. Plus Runblad is terrible defensively.

Weird that they'd want Gonchar now. Apparently we were offered Z. Michalek during the offseason but Murray didn't want to take him without Gonchar going the other way.

I think Stone is over hyped.

Rundblad is better than people are letting on. It is fun to bash a prospect that is no longer part of our org.

He has 21 points in 31 games which would tie him for 3rd on the Bsens. He is +/- 0 which on the Pirates is actually very good.

malkin and gonchar playing together in the khl may have reminded them of why they liked gonchar in the first place.

What makes Stone over hyped?

He may not be putting up a lot of points in the AHL this year, but he has created a ton of offensive chances.

I'd actually agree that Stone is overhyped by Sens fans. And even some non-sens fans due to his WJC play.

Don't get me wrong, I love the kid, and think he is an insane steal where we got him. BUT I feel like people are acting like he will be amazing and an elite player. I see him being a great 3rd liner, realistically. Or possibly a second liner, who is more defensive-minded and a bit grittier. Which is not a bad thing. I just don't think he's going to be lighting it up in the points department right off the bat.

And if he does, I'll eat my words. Either way, I think he will definitely be a help on the team. But just feel like some people around Ottawa just see him as so much more than what he probably will be (and that isn't to knock Stone at all).

How about these proposals? Tell me how far off I am value wise:

Ottawa:
Sergei Gonchar

Pittsburgh:
2nd Round Pick 2013

------------------

Ottawa:
Milan Michalek
2nd Round Pick 2013

Montreal:
Josh Gorges

-----------------

Ottawa:
6th Round Pick 2014
Chris Wideman

Vancouver:
Keith Ballard

I don't think the Montreal trade would ever happen because of the rivalry but I think the value is there.
