There's been no such indication from the Jets. It's all a bunch of crap that stems from Kane being a "cancer".

yeah, grabner is a good player, he just went through a sophomore slump where he still netted 20 goals, and he should score 30 + on a consistent basis and be a good pker too, grabner continues to get under rated around here for not fitting in to the isles future plans as well as his contract indicates

I see Grabner as more as a guy who will get 20-30 goals then a consistent 30+ goal guy. Now if he can learn how to finish on breakaway he could be a 50+ goal guy. lol

Sure they could

Kane
Bogo
Sheifele
Trouba

Islanders would be dumb to turn that down and wpg would never do it

and that leaves the isles with who as a number 1 center? that is what i was implying, the bundle would have to have that much value in addition to a legit number 1 center and the jets literally can't do that

I gotcha, was just showing you that WPG has a lot of value in there system and lineup. Islanders made due for years without a #1C, now you're spoiled

they ain't

the rumours came around when some no-one CTV reporter in Saskatoon said there were rumours when Kane was an unsigned RFA... then a very popular and very fake twitter insider spread it around... now they just sit around

These threads are hilarious. The Jets just spent a few months in back and forth negotiations to sign Kane to a six year deal. Sorry to inform some of you but they didn't do that to trade him, FYI. There is a better chance of one of our owners (the richest individual owner in the NHL) simply buying the Islanders franchise outright and folding them into the Jets in an effort to restock the Jets player pool than there is of any chance of the Isles ever getting Kane.

That's not the point. The OP asked what it would cost for the Islanders to land Kane and given what the Islanders have right now that would interest the Jets... I agree, Tavares isn't spelled right.

The only thing that interests me from the Islanders is Tavares.
Clearly that will never ever happen, so this is really and exercise in futillity for me.

As for the kane wants out rumors, nothing has ever been said by any credible, so until that does happen, I don't listen to the "he wants out" stuff.

I think Grabner is the one person in the league who is faster than Kane. However, while they are similar players, Kane is much more physical and has huge potential. It wouldn't make sense to trade for players who are similar anyways.

Trading for Kane is going to require a top 30 NHL player and only Tavares matches that bill as others have said. I don't think it can work out.

2 teams that are in kind of a rebuild. Both teams have a solid core (Kane, Burmi, Enstrom vs JT, Hamonic, Streit). Not good trading partners.
