I have a couple of them. They are full size "youth" sticks. They're about 4 feet long. Plain white on one side and Boston Bruins graphics on the other side. The only thing I don't like about them is the fact that they autograph the inside curved blade side of the stick. This also happens to be the plain white side. So when you are displaying them on your wall you either have to show the autographed side with the long plain white stick or the B's logo with no autograph. Seems like they shouldn't have cheaper out and had the B's logo put on each side.

Not to sound like an ignoramus, but is there any truth to these people on my Facebook telling me when the first game will be?

You wouldn't expect them to hand out composite sticks for the three stars, would you? It's just a nice way for the players to interact with kids (you'll see them looking for children when they skate out). In most cities the players just circle and wave. For a little kid to get a youth stick is pretty nice, but it's the interaction that's the thrill.

@TheFourthPeriod: Teams should get official look at schedule tmrw; some already have indication most of their previously scheduled home dates won't change.

Totally agree. I was really commenting on how the Bruins only get the stick printed on one side to save a few bucks.

Here is the thing with these white sticks since we got a bunch of them

The Bruins pass them out after the game and back in 2006-8ish or before the HF BP Bruins Chapter came into play, there was not a lot of people going to the games. I often sat alone eating ice cream and drinking beer (goes well together) wondering why no one likes hockey.

Well, my yute would position herself after games in a spot and accumulate said sticks. First star was signed by team; second and third the specific player.

There was atleast one time where she put together a streak of three games, three sticks- and even one game with multiple (we gave to another kid because I'm a nice guy and wanted her to learn about sharing that day)

then, the Bruins got good- the fans caught on and my kid had to fight for sticks- she still got one or two but not like the good old days of Dave Lewis and Mike Sullivan.

oh, and don't mention Glen Metropolit around her- touchy subject

Completely agreed. My kids were on cloud nine when they got two out of the three sticks given out after one of the '11 Philly playoff games. They'll definitely remember it forever. I only ***** about the graphics on the sticks because *****ing is what I do best

Likely the only time I will every hear/read of someone referring to them as "good" old days.

Has anyone asked their rep how ticket distribution is going to happen? I assume they'll just be Garden-printed tickets and shipped via USPS Priority.

No way they send garden printed tickets to season ticket holders. People would be livid.

They won't have time to have "professional" tickets.

You'll see a push for people to use them electronically; still, hard tickets must be sent.

Just checked my email, got one from my rep:

****************

Good morning!

I'm sure you have a lot of questions, so here's a few updates that will hopefully help...

I RENEWED DURING THE EARLY BIRD PERIOD LAST MARCH, WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY AUTOGRAPHED STICK? For our 2012-13 Early Bird Season Ticket Holders, after the NHL announces the new schedule and our players are back at the Garden, we will proceed to book a day for the players to autograph sticks for you. Obviously, we haven't seen the players in 9 months, which is the reason for the delay.

WHEN CAN I REQUEST WHICH PLAYER I'D LIKE TO AUTOGRAPH MY STICK? We will contact you via email in regards to your player request when the time comes.

WHEN WILL THE NEW SCHEDULE BE ANNOUNCED? The new CBA must be formally approved by both parties before the NHL announces the updated schedule.

WHEN WILL WE RECEIVE OUR TICKETS? After the NHL announces the updated regular season schedule (not sure when this will be announced), we will email you regarding the distribution of tickets.

WHY ARE THE NUMBERS ON MY ONLINE ACCOUNT MANAGER INACCURATE? Due to the lockout and back-end work from our Box Office, the calculations in your online account manager may be inaccurate. Please disregard these erroneous numbers. If you need a receipt for past payments or an updated invoice, please let me know and I will be happy to send them to you.

Please know that I appreciate your patience during this time of uncertainty. This has not been easy for anyone. I understand what the past four months have been like - as this affects me personally and professionally.

Chris is my rep. He is over the top friendly and very good, probably the best I've had.

They'll notify us about the tickets once the schedule gets released.

I don't care what the tickets look like, as long as they scan at the turnstiles
