Crappy gimmicks never last.

I renamed myself Asphate for all of a week as a joke and posted a ton of posts in broken english pretending to be an African guy fresh off the boat who spoke like a mix of Borat Sagdiyev and the Iron Sheik.

And pretending to be a Sens fan, I believe. EDIT: Bruins fan.

That was funny. Only for me, and even then even I grew sick of it and had my accounts merged under my real name so that I could resume my semi-intelligent posting. But it was definitively fun, and in the old days Asphate would have been a major hit as a joke account.

Let's see what Asphate said about Marc Savard...

Quote:

The Marc is good. Good has no respect. Only hard working plumber do.

Respect for the Crosby? No. Respect for the Ovechkin? Not a lot. Respect for the Daniel? Never.

People respect only next door guys that work hard.

The Marc should be in Boston.

The Marc must not leave Boston. He good player with good abilities and good skills!

He score goals and make fans blow!

Not even for the Pavel Kubina, he good but not enough for Boston.

Maybe the Cassel.

I've met two peeps on here. Hannibal and Steve, both real cool guys. One of these days I'll have to drop by and say hi to overlords, as our places of work are pretty close to each other.

I miss Turnbuckle's Timbits. I went on his Boards for a year before he puts it down and chat a lot with him when Habs were playing and learn a lot. The guys was giving real insider information and is a real rink rat.

I think it would be awesome if a group of us could catch a game - either by group package or at a pub somewhere.

Remember when some guy predicted a shutout against Ottawa, which happened and then disappeared? I think he had the score right as well.

I saw pictures she took with her family.

Beaker just went nuts trying to get LW, and he got her. So I guess it's a nice story after all even though it was sort of pathetic at first. Ana wanted to have a drink with me, I was in way over my ****ing head on that one so I never went. I SHOULD HAVE!

I miss Ana. We lost touch and I removed her from FB eventually. Wish she was still around.

Beaker... wasn't a bad guy. But he saw life as a wrestling show. Just think of how he left! He totally made himself into this rebel leader around which he built a stable of people who followed him to found Hockey Broads! I should know, I was one of them! And then we kicked him off the island. And then I left to come back here when hockey talk died on Broads.

Because of HF, I'm friends with twins, a Harrypolar, and a guy over 5'9". And I've many met many more people from HFHabs, whom I speak to regularly on IRC. Probably the best things in 6 years on this board.

Our GDT loved this one. I just bookmarked it. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with this year for Bruins games.

Blades of Steel.

There was so much nostalgia and negativity in his posts in general, I always had this image of him cutting himself while posting.

I thing i missed most during the lockout, is having fun and laughing with you guys! Everything was just boring lately and that was understable.

About 11 years ago I was banned for my rendition of the 12 Days of "HABS" Christmas. I thought it was funny.

The Boo Birds and Brisebois meltdown was pretty good too.
