Would make sense as insurance if Scheifele sticks with the Jets (which he probably will). Plus Saginaw and Barrie have a good trading history. I also think the deal could work if you take out MacDonald and Addison and just make it Perlini and picks for Trocheck (alot more picks would be needed though).
I could see that happening, from what I have heard the colts have quite a few seconds round picks and like you said they have had good deals in the past. We did get Scheifele, Camara, Lepkowski and O'Connor within the last few years from Saginaw.

Absolutely zero chance Saginaw trades Addison, especially in that package. He's a huge part of that franchise's future. Makes no sense at all.

If you read my entire post you can see that I said Addison can be removed from the deal if Barrie has enough picks to give away. The next poster seemed to indicate that that is the case, so Addison wouldn't be needed.

Basically my idea broke down like this: Part 1- Trocheck for Perlini and picks, Part 2- Addison for MacDonald

Both parts can be put together if a sufficent amount of picks can't be afforded by the Colts. Since it appears they have the picks it can go back to just Perlini and picks which I said in the second half of my post.

You can go back even more: Brodie, Crawford, Telegin.

Maybe Dale can get Smosky back 27 goals later? Maybe he can trade all those guys he kept instead, the 5 or 6 of them collectively don't have that many.

The Barrie Colts aren't going anywhere if Tyson Fawcett is their No. 1 centre. With Scheifele gone and the strange handling of Hall (playing him on wing, playing him with rookies), Fawcett is centring the tops line, which is brutal. How does Fawcett play on the power play ahead of MacDonald? Even if Colts make trade, will that player have to play second fiddle to Fawcett?

I can't belive Fawcett is even in the top 6 forwards. He tries but doesn't have the skill. 3 goals in 30 plus games playing with players with at least 15 goals. Smoskowitz would be nice with Scheifele potentally gone.

Why MacDonald is not on the top powerplay unit confuses me. I would like to see Camara, Athanasiou, Scheifele(if he is back) or Hall on the first unit up front and MacDonald, Beyers, Bradford on the second unit with all defenceman on the point, no forwards.

What's the logic in trading a 1st round '96 for a '93 with limited points?!?

You guys are forgetting that Fawcett Sr coaches Dale's kid in the GTHL.

He looked pretty good playing with the best player in the OHL and another future NHL'er. Let's see now!

Good logic for Niagara. They now have 3 '96 first round picks on their roster. Not a bad start to a rebuild.

This is a wide overpayment...96 for a 93 . I know Barrie want him next year but wow...hope Hunter stays sane.

Great move for Niagara. Hamilton is gone, Strome 50-50. No need for Theoret now. Ritchie should be next to go. Marty is not a fool, remember the trade for Pietrangelo.

You're getting a nice player guys. He really stepped his game up after being paired with Strome and Ritchie but has played at the same level since they've been gone. Big power forward, that has a knack for getting loose pucks and he's got a first class set of hands.

Still an over-payment in my opinion on behalf of Barrie given the age disparity....

Hope this one is a false rumour. I'd hate to see Perlini go for a '93.

Trading Perlini already, what would a package look like to get Trocheck now?
